(Fifty holy shit)
"This is the last call, is everything you need with you? Phone chargers, sunscreen, money, hygiene products. Double check your stuff, we're not turning back" Aizawa called.
They were going on the trip, two busses being taken. One per class.
Katsuki was assigned a seat near the front, right near his teacher. It was both a good move, and a strategic one.
He sat with Todoroki. Kaminari was in the back with Sero, Kirishima and Mina near each other un the middle. They'd been separated, probably due to how rowdy they got. Todoroki and him wouldn't have to be stuck waiting, being up in the front.
"Oh shit! My camera!"
"I can't find my hoodie!"
"Jirou are you bringing extra pads? I don't have any"
Sighing, Katsuki slid further down into his seat. Out of paranoia, he rechecked his bag, even though he'd checked multiple times.
Same as it was last time he checked, all set and ready to go. Todoroki did the same, though he seemed to have forgotten something and joined the few getting off the bus to grab any forgotten items.
Aizawa huffed. "You problem children are going to be the death of me"
"Free of charge" Ojiro called from one of the middle rows. Laughter rang out as their teacher sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Katsuki was both excited and nervous. All of their school trips had ended badly, but like he'd been told, it wasn't a training trip, just one that normal schools go to.
They were probably just tagging along with the regular school trip that the general classes would be taking.
He couldn't wait to see all the kids he knew from block sixteen. From what he knew, majority of the general class' that was coming were from blocks sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen. His block, Mineta's block, and the one in between.
As Purote, he often flipped between blocks sixteen and seventeen, mainly keeping to block sixteen. They were his home. He'd only gone out to the eighteenth block a few times. Many times now that he had a reason to visit often now.
"So" Todoroki asked once the bus started driving. "I have questions and you probably have answers. You don't have to answer, but I'll just keep asking you until you do, so, you might as well answer"
"Is that a threat?"
"Yeah, sure"
Katsuki sighed. "Ask away, Icy-hot"
Jokes on Todoroki, the teen didn't say how he had to answer. He could be as vague as possible.
"On a scale from rainbows and sunshine to I can and will shoot myself tomorrow, how's your home life?"
"Straight to the fucking point, aren't'cha? Depends on the day"
"How about you average it out, then say" Todoroki was serious, making Katsuki feel as if this were some sort of therapist-interrogation thing.
"'I can and will shoot myself anytime' I guess"
The teen nodded, lips pressing together. "I see"
"'I see'? What the fuck is this? You're a therapist now?"
"Only on Tuesdays" Came the response. Katsuki blinked, watching him smirk. "Okay then, tell me about your emotions. How are you feeling?"
This time, Katsuki laughed. "I'm not paying you for this session"
"If you insist. I guess I'll just have to keep using my father's credit card, then. What a shame"
"Dumbass, feel free to use my mother's too, I'm sure she'll mind"
"Of course, I'd be happy to. Let's swap, you can use my father's, buy anything you want. I recommend expensive things, but feel free to buy stuff for Kaminari"
"Shut– Shut up"
Todoroki snorted. "Sure. Anyways, block sixteen, tell me about it"
"It's... Block sixteen is probably the best place in all of Japan, right beside Yuuei. Everyone there are really cool"
"And Purote? Mineta said you were called that. Where'd that come from?"
"Purote is the shortened version of Purotekuta. I didn't tell any of them my name so they call me that. They probably all know my name now though..."
—Katsuki turned to look out the window, watching as the building going past slowly became further and further apart, the forest becoming more dense—
"I stopped a razor quirked burglar my first day there, so they started calling me that. I've taken care of a few idiots that've tried to start something. I grew up with them all, basically"
A hum came from his seatmate. "I'd love to meet then, they sound really cool"
"They are" He said. "A bunch are coming with us as the general class's students"
"I'll look forward to that. Okay, uh, let's see... Your home life, the 'can and will shoot myself' part, what's that because of? If you know"
"My quirk, probably. By your questions, you're part of the shitty parents group"
"Yes, welcome to the group, I forgot the pamphlets, but in sure you've noticed the member benefits"
Katsuki snorted, "Yeah. Hey, what kinda place do you think they reserved for us?"
A moment of silence followed his question, Todoroki obviously thinking up in it.
In his opinion, they might be going to a cabin. Yuuei seemed to like sticking students in the woods without much supervision.
"Maybe to a camp"
Ah, Todoroki seemed to follow along his thought pattern. Better than nothing, he supposed. The woods woods would be an okay spot to be, considering that it could technically work as survival training.
At least, that's what Iida would make it into.
