Most group of friends have trios, like two boys and one girl. So what if Wukong and Macaque had another friend.
Another that just wanted to break the chains from her responsibilities and just have fun.
Another that knew what about the fight between...

"LETS GOOOOO!!" MK jumped up from his seat with Tang lighting up in relief as they watched the word Victory appear above Jinhua and Defeat above the HEDL.
"JINHUA THE MOST BADASS DEMON GIRLBOSS THE REALMS HAVE EVER SEEN!!" Mei hollered out with her fists in the air. She and MK started dancing around with their own little happy dances.
Tang was at lost for words as he had stopped writing down the events and just sat there watching.
"WHAAAAAAAA!?" He jumped out of his seat, "YOU WERE THE ONE TO DEFEAT THE HUNDRED EYED DEMON LORD!?"
MK and Mei looked over at Tang confused.
"Uhhh wasn't it obvious from the story??" Mei pointed her thumb back at the golden screen.
"Yeah get with the program, Taaaanng." MK jutted his lip out with a sassy huff.
"No, no, no. That's not what I meant! It's just in the books it says that The Great Monk and The Monkey King took down the sisters and the Hundred Eyed Demon lord after a challenge of seven days...."
Jinhua hummed in thought, "I think I have an idea on why that's there... But I won't say anything until I see Wukong again..."
Tang fixed his glasses while clearing his throat, "So now we can carry on the adventure and see what The Great Monkey King and Macaque are doing..."
"Very well then." Jinhua swirled her fingers, while MK and Mei sat on either side of her.
Climbing the armored shell out onto the crumbled arena that seemed to be fine, Jinhua slid down from its torso and landed with a knee breaking thud.
The ache in her torso sent an electric shock through her spine and made her lose feeling in her legs, making them buckle.
Dropping to her feet, she tried to catch herself with her numbed arms but felt a hand gently grab her uninsured side.
"You seem a bit battered from the last time I saw you. Had a tough time, Princess?"
Jinhua looked up from the ground and met Macaque's piercing golden gaze. Though instead of his usual joking grin, his face held a frown as he studied the injuries on her arms and waist.
A small smile made it's way across her lips, "I could say the same about you. It's not everyday I see the great Six-Earred Macaque look so worried for another demon besides his friends."
"Who says your just another demon?" He stated with a serious tone.
Any words Jinhua was gonna state was caught in her throat as she blinked wide eyed at her companion.
"Macaque?"
Blinking for a moment, now aware how close he is, Macaque cleared his throat and helped her up to her feet, "Sorry 'bout that." He muttered while glancing anywhere other than the tall demoness.
