Tethered wings of a Robin

{3rd person P.O.V.}

The four members of Teen Titans are chilling in the living room, Raven just reads a book while the other three decide to prank their leader again. Robin didn't come out of his room, he doesn't bother getting up from his bed. "Guess who's back~," Said an all too familiar voice that came out of the lift. "Hey bro! What's up". Beast Boy said. "Eh nothing much, I got bored so why not visit you guys. So what are you guys up to?" Kid Flash asked them, "We are going to prank friend Robin. Care to join us?" Starfire spoke to him, holding a wig of some kind. Kid Flash stays silent and said with a smile: "Nah sorry, I'm not in the mood to prank him. Speaking of Robin, where is he?" "Probably in his room, crying from yesterday. Can you believe he is our leader?! He is such a crybaby honestly we need to find a way better leader than him." Cyborg said irritated. Kid Flash silently look at them. "What kind of prank are you guys going to pull?" He cautiously asked them, Raven slightly look at them as they smile in glee. "Oh, nothing major man we think of maybe blindfolding him and making him 'kiss' Star only to fall to the ocean," BB said. Kid Flash looks stunned, he clenches his fist a bit. "Don't you think that's going a bit too far?" He asked them "No, it's just a harmless prank," Cyborg said.

Kid Flash looks at them bewildered and mad. He walks off to go see Robin in his room. "They aren't any better than a fucking villain that we've fought." He spoke to himself.  He knocks on the door and asked: "Hey, Rob? You in there?" Robin doesn't feel like getting up, but he forces himself to get up, walk to the door, and open it a bit. "KF? That's a surprise..." He said to him, only to hear the speedster chuckle. He leans on the door frame. "Can I come inside little bird?" He spoke earning a flustered expression from Dick. "Sure, I guess..." Robin spoke softly letting his old friend in and closes the door. "Roy and I are worried about you Dick," Wally said, gesturing for him to sit next to him on his bed. "You guys shouldn't be. I mean, really you two are on a different team than I am. Plus both our teams don't like each other remember." Robin said.

{Kid Flash's P.O.V.}

Even though I couldn't see his eyes behind his mask, I can tell he was crying.  I look closely at him and see marks on his neck. "Where did the marks on your neck come from?" I asked him, he fiddles with the sleeve of his oversized sweater and answered: "From a prank yesterday." "And that was?" I asked him, 'It better not be them harming you Dick.' I thought. I see him breathe in and out. He was about to say until we hear yelling. "What is it now?" He questioned himself "Can you leave Wally..." He looks at me, I nod and speed out closing the door behind me. I waited for him to come out. 'How many marks does he have? Surely the ones on his neck aren't the only thing that was left on his beautiful body.' I thought, damn that sounds gay as hell. Well, I won't deny that I have feelings for him. Is it wrong for me to be very concerned about him? I feel like it is.

It took the guy an hour before he comes out. Instead of him wearing his sweater he wears his hero costume. "Were you waiting?" He asked, I grinned and said: "Yep~, well Rob let's go to your teammates." I spoke to him. We walk toward them, well to Raven. "Where are the others?" Dick asked her, "The rooftop." She replied, 'Shit, forgot about the prank for a minute.' I thought and grab Robin. "Why don't we go somewhere in the city Rob." I told him, "Maybe later KF." He replied, welp not good enough. I pick him up while he yells at me and I speed off. 'He'll thank me later'. I thought. "Seriously the fuck?! LET ME GO, WALLY!!!" Dick yelled. "Nope and now we're here in the park my guy," I said putting him down. "Honestly, give me a warning next time. You're like Roy, who kidnapped us back then and when he drove off and crashed Oliver's car." He said. "I mean to be fair, it was kinda nice." "No kidding asshole." He replied and playfully punches my shoulder. "Why don't we continue our conversation hm?" I spoke to him. "Only if you tell me why you don't want me to check on the other three." "That's a deal, my little bird," I said to him, earning his flustered face. 'Man, he's cute when he's flustered.' I thought. "Let's go to the cafe and talk..." He said. "Race ya there Rob," I said, smiling at him when I speed off. "KID FUCKING FLASH!" I hear him yell.

{Robin's P.O.V.}

I pant when I finally arrive at the cafe. "I hate you so much," I said, panting between my words. "No, you don't, you looove me~." KF teases me, 'Man how love to see him ruined.' I thought, glaring at him. "Well, I order us some coffee, Dick." He spoke with a smile. I sit across from him. "So, could you tell me why you won't let me check on the others?" I asked him with my arms across. "They want to prank you..." "So? it's nothing new." I said to him. "No! I mean like not the usual pranks that we pull off back then, but with..." KF sighed a bit and continues: "They want to blindfold you, so you can kiss Star only to fall off to the ocean." I look at him, "So?" It's the only thing that came from my mouth. "So? Robin, they want to push you off the tower! What if you don't make it from that high up!?" He yelled, 'I'm so glad we're the only one in here.' I thought. "Robin, those kinds of pranks aren't even funny. It's like they abuse you. I can't say about Raven though considering she's the living embodiment of an introvert but Cy, BB, and Star are just-"

 "Wally, please don't talk about my team like that." I cut him. He looks stunt, I mean his eyes widened a bit. I guess he didn't know that I don't like my teammates being trash-talked to. "Richard....what kind of prank did they play on you yesterday?" He said, seemingly holding my hands, I don't like where this is going. "Wallace, don't," I spoke to him. Please don't make me remember. "Dick, I want to know about those marks on your neck." He pleaded, "Y-y-you don't need to know Wally." I spoke quietly this time, trying to fight back my tears. "I'm worried. At least, tell me what they did. You don't have to tell me all the details, Rob." 'Why is he so convincing? Why does he care? H-he never cares. none of my teammates care, so why does the member of Titans East care?' I thought, I feel my tears coming from my mask. "T-t-they.....I-I-I honestly thought my p-p-parents were here....." I spoke quietly, I start to sob. 'I'm pathetic, I'm so pathetic. I can't believe I'm crying again. In front of him for that matter! I don't feel like-' "Ssshh, let it out Robin....No one is here to see." I feel like breaking.
