You could hear the chaos coming from inside the airport before you even walked in.

You're arriving back to Seoul after doing a few shows in Japan and you're exhausted, wanting nothing more than to get off the plane and into the car to head home.

But you have to make it through the crowd of overexcited fans first.

You took in a deep breath, exhaling shakily as the nerves began to rush over you as you stepped closer and closer to the doors of the airport.

You felt someone lay their hand on your back in comfort and you saw that it was your bodyguard, Yeonjun.

"Don't worry, Y/N. You're safe." He assured.

You wouldn't usually feel safe when things are this chaotic.

But you know Yeonjun.

He's not just your bodyguard but also one of your close friends.

You trust him with your life.

So you stepped into the airport with him following right behind you, ready to do anything and everything to keep you safe.

At first, it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be.

Some fans kept their distance and you kindly waved and smiled for photos as you walked through the crowd.

But that quickly changed when some fans got overwhelmed and started to ambush you, pulling at your clothes and your arms to cling to you and try to bring you close to them.

"Please stop!" You pleaded as you started to become anxious.

"That's enough!" Yeonjun said. "Everyone needs to calm down and step away!"

Some fans listened.

Others didn't.

Yeonjun didn't harm them but he did forcefully pull and push them away because, otherwise, they wouldn't have let you go and you would've been seriously injured.

"Let her go! Stay back!" He shouted as he guided you through the airport.

It felt like forever before you reached the exit.

You felt extremely anxious and some of your clothes had been torn as tears filled your eyes from how scared and overwhelmed you felt.

You got into the car as Yeonjun guided you there, getting in with you as he gave the driver your address to your dorm.

"Are you okay?" He asked as you sniffled, allowing him to wipe your tears.

"No." You said. "Being ambushed is so scary. I can never get used to it."

It's not the first time it's happened.

You're adored as an idol, everyone loving your beautiful voice and admiring your big heart.

With your popularity, being bombarded is nothing new.

But it's terrifying.

Every single time, it overwhelms you intensely.

"I just wish people would stop doing that. It's so scary." You cried.

"I know." He said as he squeezed your shoulder. "Some people can't respect your boundaries. I'm sorry that some people don't know where to draw the line."

You nodded and sent him a sad smile.

"Thank you for protecting me."

"Always." He said. "I know it's my job and all, but I hope you know that I do it for not just that reason, but because I care and I don't want anyone, especially you, getting hurt."

That was so nice to hear him say, bringing a genuine smile to your face.

"I won't ever let anyone hurt you. I'll protect you time and time again. I promise."

"Thank you." You sighed as you put your head on his shoulder, exhausted but appreciative that, no matter what, you'll always be safe with your bodyguard and friend by your side.
