Matt x Mello~~Heart-Shaped Box

As Mello was walking to Roger's office, he started thinking about the last 20 minutes.

Mello's POV

Why, why did I do that!? I'm sure Matt hates me now. His voice was different. He talked to me as if I were a monster. Why do I ruin things every time?
Suddenly I noticed that Matt was also coming.
"I'll wait for you in here" he said.

I opened the door with hesitation and saw Near standing next to Roger's desk.
"Come in, sit down" said Roger, "Near, you can go now" he added.

"You're dead" I whispered in Near's ear when he was leaving the room.

After a few minutes Roger finally spoke.

"Mello, I am very disappointed in you. I've never imagined that you are capable of such thing. You're smart, hardworking, but that's not enough. Here you should also be kind, friendly, generous, respectful.
Near has never done anything bad to you. Unlike you, he respects people, treats them well. No one gave you the right to behave like that. You're sixteen, but you act like a child. You broke the rules a lot, but I forgave you every time."
After an hour's boring speech Roger said: "Mihael Keehl, if you do such terrible thing one more time, don't wait for me to forgive you. I don't even want to tell you what will happen. This is my last warning. You can go now."

I mentally rolled my eyes and when I got out of Roger's office, I saw Matt. He looked kinda frightened.
"Oh my gosh Mello, what did he say?"
"Nobody will execute me, Matt. Calm down."

I took my iPod and a bar of chocolate from our room.
"Come with me, Matt" I said.
"Where are we going?"
We sneaked out of Wammy's house. I took Matt's hand and we headed to the park we often visited- a peaceful place with lots of trees. We sat on a bench, far away from people.

"Mello, is everything okay? What did Roger say?" Matt asked a while later.
"Nothing important. Let's just listen to music".
I gave the left earphone to him. We listened to "All apologies" by Nirvana, then "Heart-Shaped Box" which is my most favorite song.

I looked at Matt's beautiful face. For the first time in a long time I felt peaceful, calm, happy. I forgot about homework and exams. Everything felt like a dream. I wanted to stop the time, I wanted to tell Matt how much I loved him.
'But I don't wanna ruin our friendship. He loves me as a friend' I said to myself.
Oh god, but how much I wanted to kiss him.
I held Matt's hand and kissed his lips.
