A bullet flew past his face and Connor quickly backed behind the car again, his LED flashing between blue and yellow.

"They're not gonna stop, we need back up." An officer said from beside him and Connor nodded, hearing in the distance a radio buzzing.

Another bullet tore past Connor as he waited for the perfect moment, but there were so many guys with guns trained on the small group of officers that none of them could make a move.

They had attempted a raid of a warehouse where an infamous drug dealer was based, but clearly this guy had been ready for any conflict.

As Connor heard the officer request for back up, the voice who answered had made him pump regulator skip a beat.

"On our way." Connor's girlfriend, Y/n, replied on the radio and he closed his eyes in fear.

He thought that she wouldn't have to be involved in this conflict since she was back at the station, but now she would be here.

The possibility of injury was too high.

As sirens were nearing, Connor peered around the car again and aimed his gun at one of the guy's legs, shooting it quickly and disarming him. The man went down straight away, crying in pain.

"They're here, this is our chance." The officer next to Connor said, still leaning against the car.

Suddenly, there was an onslaught of bullets raining down as the back up had arrived. Connor couldn't catch a glimpse of his love and his regulator pounded with fear, the corners of his vision beginning to blur.

He aimed him gun at another guy and shot him, advancing closer to the warehouse and he had caught a glimpse of Y/n, but then she was gone again in a second.

He had to focus. She could do this.

But he couldn't help but fear for her.

Connor continued disarming the drug dealers until all of them were down, and the officers around him started arresting most of them.

His eyes raced around the area, trying to find his girlfriend but failed. She wasn't there.

"Y/n?" He yelled, his LED a dark red.

He asked around but no one had seen her since she arrived.

Connor didn't want to believe it.

He closed his eyes and then heard a faint shout.

His head shot up, he immediately ran to the location of the voice, his system on the brink of shut down.

As he entered the warehouse he saw that his girlfriend was currently stood on top of a man, with two others on the floor in handcuffs. She had the man in a hold, from which he couldn't escape.

She looked up and grinned, "Hi, babe. Look who I found."

Connor just stared at her, a grin on his face. He was proud. As officers began to take the three criminals, Y/n let go of the man she stood on.

"I wouldn't worry about that guy getting away, all it took was one punch to get him down." She said with a smile, and the criminal rolled his eyes as he walked away.

Connor walked up to her and immediately wrapped his arms around her, burying his face in her neck.

"I was so worried." He said quietly, finally feeling at peace now his love was in his arms.

"Con, you know I can handle myself." She replied, kissing his lips softly.

"I know, but I couldn't find you, a-and I thought-"

She could see he was working himself up into a stress.

"It's okay, Connor. I'm fine, see? You should've seen how easy it was to take those guys down." She tried to lighten the situation and Connor smiled slightly.

"I wish I saw." He sighed, "I just don't like the thought of any harm towards you. It... scares me." He explained, and she took his face gently between her hands.

"That's a normal emotion to feel fear for those you love, but I'll be fine, I promise." She smiled, and Connor nodded before taking her hand and leading her out of the warehouse.
