Chapter 8

"Is that where gatherings will take place?" BrambleClaw questioned as he stood close to HawkFrost.

FireStar looked at the Tom with uncertainty, "it's possible, but we should all go home now..."

Everyone began to walk home slowly, W/n limped beside her mate, "so why did you switch sides so suddenly?"

"Well, I thought about what you said, and we should focus on our own Clan first," HawkFrost stated, a smile creeping up on his face, "and MudClaw was pathetic anyway..."

W/n smiled slowly, feeling a sense of excitement yet dread looming over her...the only question in her mind was what HawkFrost could be planning next?

(Skipping through twilight cause nothing really important happens in that book).

A few moons had passed since MudClaw's death, things had gone back to normal and no cat had told LeopardStar about HawkFrost's involvement.

W/n was watching the kits again, they can grow up fast and we're close to becoming apprentices.

LeopardStar had been carefully assessing the warriors and who to choose to be the mentors of them.

It was clear that WillowKit was wanting to be a medicine cat, so W/n was hoping that she could mentor AppleKit.

"Hey, W/n?" AppleKit mewed up at the p/c she-cat, who hummed at her, "will you be my mentor?"

"That all depends on LeopardStar's decision," W/n nodded to the small kit, her ginger pelt ruffled.

MossPelt called her kits over for sleep and W/n was left with nothing to do, she looked over to HawkFrost who was speaking with TansyWhisper and OwlFlight.

She kept wondering what his plans were at the moment, but HawkFrost had it clear in his head that he needed to get rid of BlackClaw once he had an apprentice.

"Ah, W/n!" HawkFrost meowed over to her as OwlFlight and TansyWhisper padded off, she gave him a smile as she approached him. "Let's go for a little hunt, huh?"

W/n agreed without another thought in her head, all she loved was some alone time with her mate.

"So what's this all about?" The p/c she-cat purred as she sat close to the lake, HawkFrost joined her side as he looked into the water.

"Well I have something to ask of you," the brown tabby whispered, "I need you to think of something terrible when you go to sleep."

W/n raised a brow at him, it sure was a pretty strange request, but what harm would come from it?

"Alright then," she mumbled, her eyes shifted between the lake water and HawkFrost, "but how come?"

HawkFrost shook his head slowly dismissively, "just trust me on this." W/n sighed and was ready to head back to camp to go and bathe in the sunshine.

However HawkFrost gently stepped on the she-cat's tail, and she let out a small yelp. "What gives?"

"How about we have a little more time to ourselves," he whispered slowly, W/n felt her ears heat up.
