I'm glad you're here. / Nick Nelson x Charlie Spring

- Timeskip to when Nick is in uni because more interesting ideas hehe -

< Charlie's POV (like usual) (I like writing in his pov so it's probably gonna stay like that) >

Today is the day, I get to finally see Nick. I haven't seen him since he started university since both of us have been busy. I've missed him a heap. We did call every so often, mostly sleeping on facetime since either of us couldn't sleep most nights. My mental health took a huge dive after Nick left, not seeing him in person and not being in his arms upset me. I barely showed up at school ever since. I got in trouble with mum because of that.

Mum and I have been having more fights than usual, I still went to Nick's house when we did. His mum usually let me in and we would sit down with a few snacks as we watched some movies or binged watched a show. She always let me come over and go up to Nick's room to lay in his bed if I needed comfort.

I packed my bags, I was staying with Nick in his dorm for three weeks since we were on break. Sadly, he wasn't. I walked downstairs, texting nick on my phone, asking how he was doing. He had no idea I was coming to visit.
I put my bags at the door before going over to the kitchen, getting a drink of water and something small to eat. I was focused on texting Nick before my phone got snatched off me.

"Can you get off your phone and spend time with your parents before you leave for three weeks?" Mum said with a scoff, putting my phone in her pocket. I groaned, crossing my arms.

"Can you stop being so grumpy for no reason? I'm talking to Nick to see what he's doing today."

"Too bad. You'll see him anyway. You're lucky I even let you go."
I rolled my eyes, trying to get my phone back.
"Why are you acting like this? I'm going to see Nick, I don't care what you say." I replied, a bit annoyed. I almost got a grip on my phone before I got pushed away.

"No, you will listen to your mother. I will cancel this trip if I have to."
I froze, immediately shaking my head,
"Please don't.." I mumbled before getting called over to the door. Dad was standing there, ready to take me and also stopping the argument before it got out of hand. Mum handed me my phone back as I walked over, picking up my bags and going to the car. I put the bags in the car and sat in the passenger seat, checking my phone.
There were a few texts:
Nick - love! Where'd you go? 1min ago
Nick - hello??? 3mins ago
Nick - I gotta go to practice soon :( I don't wannaaa, I wanna call you and see your beautiful face :(( 6mins ago

I smiled at them, Nick was clingy sometimes, it was adorable.

Texts between the two:
Charlie - I'm here! But I won't be on for long :(
Nick -  but whyyyyyy
Charlie - my phone's gonna dieeee
Nick - then charge itt
Charlie - I can't love :( I'm not in the house rn
Nick - I gotta go anyway, I'll talk to you later :(
            I love you so much, Char. <3
Charlie - I love you more <333

I put my phone down, smiling happily. Dad looked at me slightly,
"Tell him I said hi okay?" He smiled. I nodded
"I will"

Dad dropped me off at the train station, giving me a hug before I got on the train. I smiled softly as I waved to him as the train started moving. I sat down, putting in my headphones and leaning my head on the window. I stayed like this for the entire trip, it was only an hour or so. Once the train stopped, I got off and looked around, smiling. I got a taxi to the university, I looked at my phone not seeing a text from nick. "He must be in class" I mumbled to myself as I got dropped off at the university. I got out after paying and walked inside, going to the dorms. One of nick's friends saw me and smiled, running over to me and introducing themselves. Nick had told them all about me, not surprising.

I told them not to tell Nick I was here as they took me to Nick's dorm to put my bags down. I looked around the dorm, it was really nice. I noticed almost an entire part of the wall, dedicated to photos of us. That was adorable. Once I got everything sorted, I walked around, smiling a bit. Everyone was so nice. After about an hour or two, I heard nick's voice. I smiled happily as I sprinted back up to his dorm. A few minutes later, he walked in to see me on his bed, scrolling through my phone. He full on jumped ontop of me, cuddling me, not saying a word. I looked down at him as he looked back, tears falling down his face. I smiled a bit, playing with his hair and wiping his tears away.
"Hey beautiful.." I whispered to him softly.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming..?" He asked as he moved up a bit and kissed all over my face.

"Because it was a surprise dummy." I chuckled and held his face softly before kissing him deeply.

We kissed for a while before hearing gagging noises at his door from two of his friends who were playing around. We looked over at them and smiled before they ran over and toppled on top of us. We all laughed, eventually sitting up and starting to talk. I yawned a bit, crawling into nick's lap and cuddling up to him, leaning my head on his chest. I almost fell asleep, until I felt Nick kiss my neck slightly, which made me blush heavily.
"Oh come onnnn, don't fall asleep nowww, I wanna spend time with you" Nick whined slightly. I looked up at him, rolling my eyes. "Well I'm tired, give me at least an hour to nap then we can do whatever.." I replied with a huff. Nick told his friends to go do something else for a bit so I could rest, they left, almost immediately. They seemed really nice. After the door shut, Nick laid down with me, pulling the blanket over us both. He played with my hair, humming a soft tune as he smiled. I almost immediately fell asleep, holding onto his shirt softly.
