"I just wanted to inform you that after your mother and I intervened, the police identified the attackers of that girl you told us about the other day"

"Really? That's fantastic! Destiny will be so happy when she hears about this. Thank you both"

"yes but even if they have identified them the most they can do is to give them a sanction, those guys are the sons of some minor but still influential businessmen. I'm sorry, I recognise that our part of town is very corrupt"
The man admits with a slight sigh

"Oh I see, of course I don't deny that I was hoping for something more, but it's still better than nothing. Thanks again, I'll see you back home, by the way can stop by the decadent part? I'd like to break the news to Destiny in person"

"Alright, I'll see you in the evening then"
The man hangs up the call.

Zoe is left with a feeling of pleasure as she feels that she is establishing even if very slowly some kind of relationship, at least with her father, he seemed much calmer even in the way he expressed himself and this makes her very happy. She doesn't know if she will ever be able to have a normal relationship with her parents or if they will ever be able to accept her relationship with Destiny, but hope is always the last to die. After giving directive to the driver in a short time she arrives in the decadent part of the city, she previously wrote to Destiny so she can find her right away

"I thought it was about time I introduced you to my friends"

"This is Nathan King, also known as the alchemist. This is Audrey Abbott, my little sister, although not biologically"
She starts making introductions

"Guys, this is Zoe Knox, my beautiful, smart, awesome girlfriend"

Nathan points out

Destiny scolds him by punching him in the arm

"I've been looking forward to meeting you, Destiny always speaks very highly of you. Actually now that I think about it she only talks about you"
Audrey greeted her, purposely embarrassing her big sister

"ok this was a bad, bad idea"
The wolf immediately regrets her decision

"ahahahah I think they're really nice instead, you should learn from them love"
Says Zoe, who never misses a chance to bully her other half

"okay you know what I'm leaving I'm not going to stay and be made fun of by you"
Says the wolf pouting

"c'mon don't be so touchy ahah. I need to tell you something important, actually I need to tell Audrey more than anything else since she's the one directly involved"

"really what do you have to tell me?"
Audrey asks in amazement

"Destiny told me about what happened to you in my part of town and I thought I'd help out.... But unfortunately I couldn't do much"
Zoe explains everything her father told her on the phone with a thread of sadness, she really wished those guys would get what they deserved, but unfortunately you can't always get everything, even when it comes to justice

"ohh I understand, you don't have to worry, in fact thank you for trying. It's better than nothing"
Audrey says with a grateful smile

"Maybe you're not such a rich snob after all... Also because otherwise the lone wolf back here would have never dated you"
Nathan revises his position regarding Zoe pointing at Destiny who has taken a backseat still acting offended

"Thanks Nathan haha"

"I can't say I'm satisfied but we can't help it"
Says the wolf

"Well we could blow them up"
The alchemist proposes rubbing his hands together

"this time even I would approve"
Says Audrey

"Good girl Audrey, come to the dark side!"
The boy exclaims all excited

"I can't leave you alone with her for five seconds and you'll bribe her right away"
Destiny says as she hugs Audrey protectively, triggering laughter from the other three.

The four guys decide to spend the rest of the day together, in the end Nathan and Audrey got along well with Zoe, the alchemist decided to re-evaluate his first impression of the girl, Audrey on the other hand who had no preconceived notions based on the time they spent together and found she really enjoyed his company. Now that everything has settled down, there's nothing left for the guys to do but get on with their lives, for them the future is still full of surprises, new events will turn their lives upside down again but this time they won't take refuge in their inner worlds to escape from them, on the other hand they have to find out who or what they belong to and to do that they have to get out of their comfort zone and open their eyes to the real world.

Zoe and Destiny are celebrating their 8 year engagement, they find themselves in an unpretentious restaurant, it was Destiny's idea who insisted on spending the evening out at all costs and Zoe although she would have preferred to stay in eventually was convinced by the other's enthusiasm. The 18-year-old queen left home and moved into a flat she bought with the money she had accumulated on her credit card over the years. Destiny moved in with her some time after informing her parents of her relationship. They were thrilled to hear the news, supporting the two girls and offering to help whenever needed. Now they are walking along a street full of stalls that brightly illuminate the night, there is a light breeze that gives a pleasant feeling on the skin.

"I can't believe it's been eight years already"
Destiny says, taking Zoe by the hand

"Yeah, I've been putting up with you for eight years, I'm surprised at myself"
Zoe jokingly states as she has their fingers intertwined

"haha I can't argue with that"

The two girls stop on a small hill overlooking the city, the lights of the houses create an almost magical atmosphere, a pleasant breeze lightly stirs the leaves of the tallest trees.

"It's a really beautiful evening don't you thin-"
Zoe freezes after turning to Destiny

"I know it's a bit sudden but.... Zoe Knox"
Destiny bowed and in her hand is a little black box

"will you marry me?"

Zoe's eyes widen in surprise. The two look into each other's eyes, which sparkle in the moonlight. Zoe's eyes turn bright, she brings a hand in front of her mouth, she can't hold back her emotion, she approaches Destiny and takes her hands, she makes her stand up so she can look straight into her eyes

"I wish for nothing else. I love you Destiny Wolfe"

"I love you too"
Destiny says putting the ring on her finger.
