Recap
Hey naño (brother) Don't worry about it. Don't be hard on yourself. You most definitely do not sound like a girl to me. You're just affectionate. Protective over Kate, you love her. You miss her. I mean I would be worried if you didn't miss her already. It's just how we all are...You know; protectiveness, always wanting our girls to be safe. Anyways it's all normal. Trust me, I was the exact same as you with Beth-and still are-So yeah there's no problema (problem) about sounding like a girl.
Yeah, your right. I sigh.
I dunno, it just feels like...like withdrawals.
Carson visibly smirks, and scoffs
Huh. Yeah from Kate.
I roll my eyes at him, wanting to punch him in the arm but am unable to as Ella's still asleep in my arms. Carson laughs at my thought. He grins like he's accomplished something. I scrunch my face up in annoyance and shut him out of my mind, a little disgruntled, but that quickly drifts away once we glare jokingly at each other, the way brothers are when they're best friends.

Kate's mum-Thea-breaks through our playful banter after laughing under her breath.
"Ok, niños (boys)" she shakes her head.
I let out a small cough. sigh, and nod my head for them to continue, knowing our parents still haven't finished saying what they want to let me know.
"So, um your mum, and I had a chat with Casey, about Kate-" Thea directs her statement mostly at me, so I assume everyone else already knows.
"-Right, Lia?" Thea asks my mum.
Mum nods in response, also letting out a labored 'yeah' under her breath. She looks over to me. "Because we already knew that Kate was awake-" mum inhales quickly "we proceeded to ask Casey when Kate would be allowed to leave the hospital-"
Thea butt's in and finishes what my mum was going to say, like the great best friend-slash, family- she is and always has been.
"But Casey said even though she would double check, she's sure-not one hundred percent-that she can be picked up tomorrow morning" The finishes with a content, happy smile spread across her lips.
I let out a sigh of relief that they will only keep her in the hospital for one more night. Hopefully. I still wish she could come home with us today, but...what can I do?
"Well thats good, but it sucks, and I still wish she could come back home with us today..." I voice my thoughts.
"I know honey. We all do. We've all missed her too, but they probably wont let her home earlier than tomorrow-" Mum continues inwardly with her mind open so we can all hear.
Unless, Des told them to. But you know we don't really like to use telling as something on humans, except if we really have to, and I don't want to have to do that. Casey's been extremely patient and understanding-especially with you-
Mum gives me a pointed look at this.
Through everything and I would hate to have to 'tell' her to do something for us and think she came up with the decision herself. Being, obviously, charmed to do something, you know...?
