This was insane. Possibly even suicide given what Jungkook had told him before.
But Jimin had to take the risk. After Jungkook's twisted declaration, Jimin couldn't trust the other around himself, let alone the pup. All it would take is something and he could fly off the handle like that again. Jimin refused to be at the end of another beating like that. While Taehyung worked on a plan to get him out of this mess, he bided his time. Resting. Recovering. Building his strength up for the eventual escape from this Hell that Jungkook had dragged him into. When the day finally came, to say that Jimin wasn't nervous would be a lie. This wasn't going to be easy, but he had to try. It was in the early morning hours; the hospital was quiet. Save for the few overnight staff wandering about, there wasn't much in the way of security from what Jimin could tell. He knew that Taehyung was waiting for him in the parking garage. Slipping out of the bed, he clenched his teeth as he grabbed the IV needle and ripped it out. Wincing at the sharp, brief pain before he kneeled and pulled out the duffle bag that Taehyung had left for him the night before. Quickly unzipping it and changing into the black hoodie and sweats. Jimin winced as some of the quick movements were still painful, but he couldn't let himself be slowed down. Standing, he slipped on the sneakers and grabbed the face mask. Putting it on as he walked towards the door, pulling the hood up and over to obscure his face as much as possible.
Once he made sure the hallway was clear, he walked to the exit. Keeping an eye out for anything that could be a potential trap set up by Jungkook. Slipping out to the emergency stairwell, he fell against the door once it closed. Panting lightly, his heart racing, banging so hard against his ribs it felt like it might burst out. Jimin took a moment to gather himself before he made his way down the stairs as quickly and quietly as he could. Too easy. His brain was screaming this at him over and over. This was far too easy, but he couldn't stop now. Bursting through the door, he came out into the parking lot. Panting and frantic as he looked around for any sign of Taehyung's car. Where was he?! Jimin turned around, looking everywhere but no sign of –
"Jimin!" A familiar voice called and Jimin whipped around to see Taehyung parked out by the entrance to the parking garage, waving him down.
A moment of relief before he lightly jogged towards the other. Then it happened. Jimin slid to a stop as he saw a few of Jungkook's men come out from behind the cars and block his path. Jimin's eyes widened as he turned to see them coming up from that way as well. Jimin turned back around to the realization that he was surrounded. Trapped. No! It can't end like this. As the men closed in on him, his eyes narrowed but then suddenly he heard Taehyung shout out and jump on one of the men's back.
"Leave him alone! Jimin! Run!" Taehyung shouted as Jimin's eyes widened.
Hesitation kept him rooted in place. He couldn't just leave Taehyung to fight by himself.
"JIMIN! GO!" Taehyung shouted at him, wincing as he was yanked off the man by another and thrown to the ground.
Jimin lowered his eyes before he closed them tight. He then turned and took off as he ran past the men, taking advantage in the break of their formation.
"After him! Don't let him escape!" One of the men shouted.
"Run Jimin! Don't stop! Remember our pl – "
Taehyung was cut off when one of the men kicked him in the gut to shut him up. Jimin did his best to hold back the tears forming in his eyes, blurring his vision as he ran down the sidewalk. Please be okay! That was all Jimin could think over and over in his head. He prayed that since Taehyung had a father of notable merit that Jungkook wouldn't be stupid enough to kill him. As Jimin ran down the sidewalk, barely avoiding the people in his way. He looked back and surprisingly didn't see anyone there. Why weren't they chasing him? Jimin turned his head forward just as he saw him. At the corner was standing none other than Jungkook. Jimin came to an immediate stop, the jerk of his body causing his hoodie to slide off and reveal the sandy blonde fluff. Jimin was panting heavily, staring at Jungkook with wide eyes. How!? Jungkook stood there with such a forlorn expression, Jimin wanted nothing more than to punch it off. Jungkook slipped his hand into his pocket as he turned and opened the door to the expensive black sports car parked on the street beside him. Simply nodding with his head towards it, clearly telling Jimin to get in.
