Eddie teared up as the now married couple began walking off to the dining area to cut the cake, he immediately wiped his eyes and smiled before walking up to Steve and the others. "Cmon they're about to cut the cake" Eddie said gesturing for them to follow him.
Eveyone was already seated and they all sat down as well, Jenna got up and gently sliced the cake as eveyone cheered, she got the first slice and more got passed around, soon everyone was eating and there was barely any slices left.
Eddie looked over to Steve and realized he was staring at him. "What..?" Steve said feeling embarrassed.
"No- nothing I just..." Eddie said. "I just can't believe your my boyfriend" Eddie whispered, looking into Steve's eyes, Steve blushed and desperately wanted to kiss Eddie right there, Eddie did too.
They were pulled out of their own little world when Robin got their attention.
"Eddie your speech" Robin said nudging him. "Oh right!" He said getting up. "Uh can I have everyone's attention please?" Eddie asked as eveyone stopped and stared at him."Uhm I'd like to give a speech.. in honor of my uncle who just got married, if that's ok?" He asked. His uncle nodded and he sighed, getting the paper from his pocket and opening it
___
My uncle Wayne is an amazing guy, he cares about people.. he cares about me, I owe my life to him since he took me in... and Jenna too for immediately loving me even though I wasn't her kid, she didn't care, that didn't bother her.. she treated me as if I was her own, my own parents couldn't do that, and I couldn't ask for better parents then these two right here..
___He said pointing to them as his voice cracked and he began tearing up his uncle was on the verge of tears and Jenna was holding her mouth in awe.
___
And everyday when I wake up I am so fucking grateful for all the people in my life that care about me... I have these two folks that are basically my parents, an amazing partner, and the most annoying group of little kids ever, along with some new friends I've made and I love them all very much... you all mean the world to me, and I couldn't ask for a better life.
___He said sitting back down as people clapped for him, he looked over to Steve who was looking at him proudly. "Was it good?" Eddie asked. "Eddie it was even better hearing it in person. Steve said smiling so hard his mouth started hurting.
They were interupted in their little moment once again but by Vickie this time. "Cmon the brides throwing the bouquet!" Vickie said, the both of them got up and followed her.
Jenna was on a stage and a bunch of ladies were crowded under her ready to catch the bouquet, Eddie went to smoke for a moment while they were busy, Steve and Robin stood watching the ladies waiting for Jenna to throw the bouquet.
As she did.. Steve quickly ran up to them all catching it, he laughed, shocked that he actually caught it, the ladies scoffed and rolled their eyes while walking off, he rolled his eyes back while walking over to Robin.
"You caught the bouquet!" Robin said surprised. "Yeah.." he said surpised as well. "So who's the lucky person you're giving it to?" she said looking around. "Eddie Munson?" he said bluntly.
She did a dramatic gasp. "No really?!" She said acting shocked, he rolled his eyes at her and walked off as Vickie came up to her with drinks.
Eddie was outside smoking as Jenna came up to him. "So.. how's married life?" He asked glancing at her. "Great, you should try it to sweetie" she said taking his blunt and smoking it. "I'm afraid that's kind of illegal" he said jokingly.
She looked at him and frowned. "What's a little banter with the government as long as I see my boy happy?" He smiled as she handed him the blunt back. "Thanks Jenna" he said extending his arms for her to hug him. "Your speech was beautiful by the way" she said softly.
