You Happened

That day it took a lot for Jin and Jimin to calm Taehyung down. He was just crying and crying about how Jeongguk will take the babygirl away and hide her. How little Tae-ri will have no mother around, just a jerk of a father. This thoughts made him wail more loudly. Jin kept a thrashing Taehyung on his chest.
 
        
   
And along with that,Jin-Jimin was consoling him more soothingly, that Jeongguk won't take the baby away. It took a great hate from Jin to utter this,but to console taehyung - he said it. "he wants to take you two back, bear. He says he's sorry. You don't have to go, just know this he's here for your mercy. He won't harm the princess", Jin said. Lastly Taehyung slept with tears in eyes, somewhat consoled. The kitty was of great help to give tae warmth and validation.
    
  
        
And Jeongguk was another one of the heartbroken pair, he went home to Yoongi, in who's embrace he cried his heart out. Why did he do these mistakes? How could he hurt Taehyung? He never had any intentions of putting his hands on Tae, not in lifetime. Yet he did, without limit. "Why god made me like this? Why? I want to repent my sins. Please, bring my taehyung back to me. Please. Yoongi, tell him to punish me the hardest. But please tell him to come back. "
 
      
   
Yoongi just sat still while Jeongguk was speaking, what else he can even do? He has been staying in Korea for these months only to put a happy end to this turbulent marriage,still it seems so far fetched.
       
    
   
But today he gave Jeongguk an advice, more like to save Jeongguk from any further mental health situation. "Jeongguk, do your work, go to office. You want your babygirl to be a real princess, don't you?". Jeongguk kept looking at Yoongi with his doe eyes, not understanding his words. And to Yoongi, this is the exact little innocent Jeongguk of his ,who would get competitive over everything.
    
  
     
Yoongi: see, you're not working. Passing days in grief, now when the princess comes. What if she asks for anything and you can't provide?

Jeongguk: I have enough, hyung. She'll be a real princess.

Yoongi: I know. But you working will keep her secured. Then, Taehyung will get some space too.

Jeongguk: we don't need space hyung, he needs to punish me. Then we'll be together again. Don't mention space.
   
   
 
Yoongi shook his head, how'll he make Jeongguk understand things - he doesn't know. But he has to. For Jeongguk's sake, for Taehyung's sake, for the sake of the new life they're bringing in the world.
   
 
  
Yoongi: Jeongguk, for him to forgive you. You two need space. You standing outside of his house gives him extra stress which is bad for Tae-ri. She has already gone through a lot.
    
  
  
Jeongguk with soaked eyes shook his head. He doesn't want his daughter to endure more turmoil. He himself has caused enough. What if like her ma, she doesn't forgive him? Jeongguk believes he's unforgivable, the most vile man to ever exist.
      
     
    
Yoongi: yeah? So for her to remain healthy you can't stress your wife. Besides,you love tae more.

Jeongguk: but if I don't go there, they'll never forgive me. Taehyung will try to forget me. He hates me. He doesn't even talk, yoongi.

Yoongi: if he doesn't want to forgive you, you standing 24/7 won't do anything. You have to show him your true intentions. See, today you made him scared. These will add on your bad side.

Jeongguk: I understand hyung. But I want him. I did hurt him so badly. So badly.
    
  
  
Yoongi made him understand many things that night,with patience. Jeongguk took everything in, promising to listen to those. And he did, he started going to office.  With the trial coming soon, he needs to be sanely present. And this way Taehyung will get some space of moving -walking around, as he doesn't come out in front of Jeongguk.
    
      
    
He now keeps standing in front of Taehyung's house after work. Everyday, from 7 pm to 12/1am at night. After office,he rush drives to the usual place, praying for just a glimpse of Taehyung. He keeps waiting like a thirsty bird, who dies for a drop of water.
    
   
  
Taehyung used to see everything, he still does. Every day Jeongguk standing there relentlessly. But he didn't come out to talk to Jeongguk. Why Jeongguk doing all these? Why Jeongguk urging Taehyung to rethink his decision of separation? With this baby inside, days are too too much hard for Taehyung. Yes, everyone helps. But help from the baby's father is different from everything. Only Taehyung knows how long these nights are, how cold and big the bed seems. Oh how he stays awake with the thought of future. Jeongguk didn't give him any of the comforts. Oh ,he gave. Trauma and fear. Now why? WHY? Taehyung could scream at Jeongguk, but he controls himself everyday. The cat has been a pillar of strength. It stays with Taehyung all of the time, so he doesn't get lonely. And he can control his hormonal screaming at bay just by caressing it's fur gently.
    
 
  
One more month passed. Taehyung is now 8.5 months pregnant. Big, watery, heavy is his definition now. Walking seems like the greatest of work to tae. He just feels like crying the whole day. Sometimes he feels urge of rushing out to a waiting Jeongguk and cry in his hold, "I still love you, gguk". But the next second he remembers what that same person did to him, how venomous his words of accusations were. Fear creeps up that the incident can repeat, only a little misinformation it'll need.
        
          
        
In this one month, Jeongguk got punched by Jimin several times. Whenever Jimin saw his hyungie crying inside the house, he'd definitely go out and straightout punch Jeongguk, asking him to leave immediately. But Jeongguk didn't, not even once. He even kneeled before Jimin multiple times with clasped hands, "please forgive me Jiminie, I'll never again hurt your hyungie. Please tell him to forgive me. I love him. " Only scoffs made their way out through Jimin's throat. Jin hyung didn't talk with Jeongguk at all, ignore with all his might
      
    
         
Winter was soon to come, like Jeongguk-Taehyung's baby. Separately but eagerly they were waiting for the baby girl. She has been the only will of living for both the parents.
       
     
    
Rain in winter is unpredictable, but not surprising. A weather like this came unannounced with the mesage of winter's arrival. Taehyung was cozied up inside his room after dinner, with a cup of hot chocolate in hand, Kkanji (the kitty) on lap. Outside it was raining heavily with thunders striking like crazy. Taehyung sitting there thinking about life in general, meaning of it. Why we get hurt and why the meter of being hurt varies from person to person?
            
       
             
Taehyung finished his cup of chocolate, now humming something soothing while caressing his big tummy. But there was this tension brewing inside him, he couldn't put a finger on it but it was there. That uneasy feeling, like he's losing something. Trying to push it in the back of mind wasn't helping either.
      
    
    
Suddenly he remembers, what's this feeling.
Jeongguk.
    
    
       
Is he still out there? Standing in the rain? Taehyung rushed upstairs without much care of his own wellbeing, he hates himself for even thinking about Jeongguk. In the midway of stairs, he tried to move around and stop himself from caring. But then that line, which his heart constantly feeds his brain with - "that's your daughter's father". Taehyung couldn't ignore this.
          
       
        
Then he again rushed his feet upstairs,inside Jimin's room, cause it has a window facing the road. In his mind just wishing that Jeongguk isn't there.
      
   
     
And Taehyung's wish was granted wrong. Jeongguk standing there in his office clothes, wet like a crow, seemingly looking upwards at the raining sky. Taehyung angrily scoffed, what's Jeongguk trying to do? Kill himself? A stupid like Jeongguk only thinks about himself, sure he wants to die leaving their daughter. He can only do that like a coward. Never had the courage to man up and do the right thing. Can't he take shelter in his car even? Standing in the rain, oh wow what a great man he is! Taehyung scoffed and scoffed,while thinking these logical things. 
        
    
         
It has been raining for two hours already, and Jeongguk comes here around 7, which is 3 hours ago. Just wow, wow. "Die in the rain. Suits you", Taehyung murmured under breath.
        
        
      
Taehyung's eyes were stinging with angry tears, hands fisted in furry, why this man has no shame? Why doesn't he leave after being reprimanded again and again by Jimin, a person way younger than him. How he digests snickers of Taehyung's neighbors days after days? They don't talk well with him.  Jeongguk has anger issues, so why he doesn't lash out on them,huh? He can only do that to Taehyung,right? Yes, acting like as if Taehyung is his bought slave. How can Jeongguk keep standing on a road for so many days? Taehyung thought Jeongguk will get bored in highest 10 days, but got proven wrong. It has been nearly 2 months oh this man's madness. If he really loves Taehyung this much then why he hurt Tae so brutally? How easily he forgot their love!
       
      
   
A thunder rambled Taehyung's thoughts, taehyung a bit quickly got downstairs, murmuring curses under breath. Looking for an umbrella right now. Jeongguk wants to talk, right? They'll freaking talk today, Taehyung can't take it anymore. He tried to be silent, but this man won't let him. Their child started moving inside with the speed of his steps, but he is fuming right now that he scolded that little bean. "calm down, Jeon Tae-ri. Stop kicking. Ma is angry right now. Not the perfect time for you to play around, stop your movements right now". This kid too will take after Jeongguk, Taehyung can swear on that.
   
   
   
With one umbrella over head, and one in hand Taehyung was rushing out. He's so angry that he can beat Jeongguk with the umbrella right now. If this teaches him a lesson. Jin saw Taehyung going out, and he was soon to ask. Because the speed Taehyung is walking is very concerning for a pregnant person. Taehyung just glared at him, and Jin got it seeing the second umbrella. He is no one to speak in midst of a couple, so he just warned Taehyung, "watch your steps, tae. Don't slip, okay? Slow".
 
 
 
Taehyung was raging, it's now or never. Jeongguk will regret his desire of talking. And Taehyung came out of the gate, abiding by Jin's warning. The heavy rain along with wind making him more angry by each passing second, he doesn't even know why or on whom he's getting mad !
 
 
 
Even if it was raining heavily, Jeongguk's ears picked the sound of gate opening. Now, Jeongguk thought it's maybe another one of Taehyung's neighbors, coming to argue about him parking his car on the narrow road. But when he looked at his side, he was shocked. Till now he was standing against his car, now he stood still in a nanosecond, that much of a shock.
 
 
 
It was Taehyung walking towards him. Jeongguk was panicking, what if Taehyung slips and fall. What even he's doing out in the rain? No no no, taehyung can't fall ill. Jeongguk rushed towards Taehyung, who was more like 10 steps away.
 
 
 
Jeongguk put his hands like a barricade around Taehyung, on instinct, as if being ready to hold if Taehyung slips anyhow. And Taehyung first stiffened at the touch, cause they were burning his skin. Then he got angrier. He pushed the umbrella towards Jeongguk with much force that even Jeongguk being buff didn't help,had to stumble backwards.
 
 
 
The sky roaring with rain, thunder, wind. Even in this Jeongguk wasn't wrong to see those teary red eyes of Taehyung. These eyes hold his life, his soul in grip.
