bane of my existence (sapnap x y/n)

After me and george come back from McDonalds, i checked the time seeing it was almost 1 and dinner is at 5 so it leaves me with 4 hours to shower, dry and straighten my hair, get dressed and whatever else. i go get into the shower remembering to bring my shower products since i don't want to be left with 3 in 1.

After i shave and shower i walk back into my room, picking an outfit and shoes.

I settle on a 2 piece skirt and top set, the design is white with small pink, green and teal flower and leaves, the top is a v-neck cut with puffed out long sleeves that sinch at the wrist, the skirt is short and flowy with little seaming details making the fabric bunch at the seams.

For shoes i have to decide between white converse and white chunky sandal heels, but ill decide when im dressed.

First i decided to do my makeup, i kept it simple, just highlighter, mascara and lipgloss.

I then let my hair down out of the towel and start to dry it after putting a heat protectant and argan oil in it. My hair is really thick so it took like 45 minutes. I then straightened my hair, curling it in at the ends and curling my front layers back.

After getting dressed i checked the restaurant that were eating at, im familiar with the restaurant and its quite formal but not too fancy, so i choose to wear my heeled sandals.

I wear my silver infinity necklace with small silver hooped earrings, i then sprayed myself with some fruity floral body spray that complimented my outfit, i place my purse, lipgloss, charger and keys into my plain white crossbody bag. Its now almost three and i still have an hour left so i go try talk to sapnap.

I walk downstairs to see sapnap watching anime on the tv with george and dream, i notice dreams ready too which takes some relief off my shoulders, i thought he wouldve been very last minute but nevermind, hes wearing black jeans with a light grey button up with the top 3 buttons undone, with a chain and rings, it was now that i was seeing them all together that made me realise how lucky i was to be with such an amazing group of friends.

"you look pretty," dream smile up at me,

I was stood at the back of the sofa, sapnap had his back facing me and dream and george were sat at the side.

"thank you" i reply.

I take a seat beside sapnap and notice him look me up and down slowly, possibly checking me out, i dont know at this point.

I take my phone out to see a text from my sister saying 'cant wait to see you later <3' i replay with 'same here :) also clays coming is that okay?' With a quick 'of course' and an exchange of goodbyes the conversation ended.

i ended up on tik tok when a ship edit between me and sapnap came up on my for you page and with a simple 'not interested' button i was hoping to not see one of them again, as much as i may have feelings for the guy, i didnt exactly want to see people agreeing.

{time skip}

As we pulled up outside the restaurant I realised how nervous i was for this. I havent seen aaron in like a year and a half, out of spite and honestly, slight fear.

We pull into a parking spot not far from the entrance but far enough for me to brace myself. As i stand, thinking, clay comes up beside me reaching to place his hand gently on the small of my back, "you ready" he asks, i smile and nod at him and we begin walking, as we get closer to the entrance of the restaurant, i see a tall and short figure, easily recognisable as layla and aaron.

"Y/N!" I hear layla yell and slightly run towards me.

After we embrace she links an arm around me and turns to the boys.

"and who's this handsome man youve brought with you" she smiles as i introduce clay, i notice aaron walk beside clay and quickly checking whos taller, i laugh slightly as aaron is quite noticeably shorter.

After everyone is introduced we walk into the restaurant, aaron telling the guy at the desk his name for the reservation and us getting seated we order champagne to start the meal off.

"okay i wanna get it out into the open now so we can cheers to it" layla says, and once everyone has their drinks poured out, layla begins.

"well, me and aaron... Are engaged!" She announced and the silence spoke louder than the possible 100 mouths that were in the restaurant.

Aaron, was going to be in my life forever.

I cleared my throat and raise my glass, i breathe out, i fake a smile and half enthusiastically say "congrats, im so thrilled for you both"

"really?" Layla says to me

"of course lay, it just took me a minute"

"thank you"

After we cheers we decide to order our meals, i excuse myself to the bathroom in which layla decides to join me, when i enter the bathroom, i take the makeup out that i brought to touch up with.

"youre not actually happy for me are you?" Layla says after leaving the stall.

"what? Of course i am"

"dont lie y/n"

"im not"

"of course you are, youre jealous, god y/n, i cant have anything"

"what?" I turn to face her placing my purse on the counter.

"everytime i try to have some sort of happiness in my life you get jealous and ruin it. Like when me and aaron got serious, you didnt talk to me for ages, even while living under the same roof, when i moved out, and now that im engaged, god why cant you let me be happy"

"there are perfectly good reasons behind all of them but everytime i tried to tell you why you shut me down and said i was jealous, you NEVER heard my side of it" i felt the conversation getting more heated, i never thought i would ever hear my own sister say what she said next.

"see, this is why mam and dad never loved you, because all you ever do is selfish"

At that, my heart dropped.

I grabbed my bag and storm out of the bathroom, making my way towards the table.

"we're leaving" i say to clay and he stands straight up no questions asked.

"no, y/n i didnt mean it" layla says as she approaches the table.

We had a few heads turned our way from surrounding tables.

"fuck off layla." I say as i grabbed my coat from the table.

"hey!" Aaron calls out as he brings himself up from his seat.

"bro sit the fuck down" clay says to him and from the corner of my eye i catch him sitting.

"thats what you wanna marry?" I question pointing to aaron.

"yeah come on, he just took orders from a guy who plays minecraft for a living" clay snickers as he uses his hand on my shoulder to guide me to the door.

As soon as we get in the car i feel my eyes tear up, "nonono no crying" clay says as he takes one of my hands in his and uses the other to wipe the tears spilling out of my eyes.

I lean into him for a hug and after a minute i pull away taking a deep breath to compose myself.

"i hate him, he just ruined the last good relationship i had with a family member."

"its okay, we can only hope she realises how much of a waster he is" he says as he places the key into the ignition."lets just hope its sooner rather than later, and she'll come crying to you"

"thank you" i smile at him and we drive off.
