General POV:

"Nini, Nini! Nini!" A muffled voice spoke, cut in between forced clicks that were way too loud to not listen to anymore.

Nini suddenly snapped out of her flashback mode and finally focused on the boy that was stood in front of her, clicking his fingers several times to make her focus. 

"Nini!" Ricky said, concerned.

"Huh, uh what? Sorry, you were saying?" She said, raising her brow at him, causing him to smile.

"You've been stood in front of the cafe for like 10 odd minutes without doing anything and I swore you could've been smiling or at least that's what I caught you doing." He continued.

"Uh, sorry. My bad, uh, I was just, uh, thinking about the memories that I had right here, in front of this exact cafe." She laughed. "But, no uh, let's go inside now shall we?"

"After you," Ricky said, bowing down before the goddess that he saw before his very eyes.

"Oh, Ricky stop it. You know I'm just the same girl that I was last time except I am more confident with my hobbies and things I like but just, myself really, in general."

"I wish I could've kept you for longer." He mumbled very quietly, yet Nini could still hear what he had said.

"Sorry, what was that?" She questioned him, acting so confused as if she didn't hear what he had just said.

"Oh, uh nothing. Uh, I'm hungry so let's eat haha!" He chuckled nervously, though it was obvious that he was lying. Nini shrugged her shoulders as she entered the cafe.

~TIMESKIP~

Nini is sat across Ricky as they both stare at each other in anticipation. Their food had finally arrived and they both ordered delicious foods, each of which they ordered sweet food. Ricky ordered pancakes and Nini ordered the same, though hers had a little more syrup. They finally got to dig in and drink away at their vanilla lattes. Soon, they would talk about everything.

"So, uh, do you wanna tell me about your whole journey here? Did your mums drive you here or what?" Ricky asked, taking a sip of his hot drink.

"Uh, no I actually learnt how to drive, sort of."

"Oh, wow. Now does this come from the many lessons that I gave you?"

"Oh god, remember though? I could've crashed the car honestly. But yeah, I learnt from you and my mums. I literally used to watch every thing they both did whilst driving, I watched their every move when she drove us to California."

"Haha, well I think I should feel proud of myself, don't ya think?" He said, cutting a piece of his pancake.

"Yeah, I think you should. This is great right?"

"What, do you mean the food?"

"No, silly, I meant like this. This place, this friendship, it's just amazing, am I right? It's great to finally get to talk and oh god it's been long since I came here haha." Nini said calmly, looking at the time on her watch.

"That's a nice watch by the way." He said, pointing it out on her wrist.

"Oh, uh Marvin gave this to me as a gift of saying, "Hello, you don't know me but I know you" sort of thing." Nini expressed herself, causing Ricky to laugh.

"Why? What's so funny?" Nini asked.

"Uh, nothing. It's just the way you said it, it made me laugh." He said, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Oh, trust me I can make you laugh 10x harder next time." Nini said.

"Oh, from our past experiences, I can totally trust you." Ricky laughed. "Anyways, we were talking about how you got to be here, why don't you carry on, I found it quite interesting."

"Really? Oh my gosh, okay. Well, it all started when I was trying to create a new song but nothing would happen, literally nothing! I tried so hard, writing on paper to paper to find the right idea then it finally came to me!" Nini said.

"Uh huh, I'm listening." Ricky spoke.

"But then I lost it because someone random called me, they said it was an emergency and the voice was familiar but I ignored that and carried on speaking with the person at the other end. They sounded as if they were crying or something but anyways they were worried and saying that you had gone missing and that they were worried and thought I knew about it. I was about to block the person because I knew it was Lily but then she stopped me."

"She told me that I was the only one who could help but then I reluctantly agreed, only because I love you still- UH I mean, care about you still-" Nini shushed her lips before she could continue any further.

"Wait," He paused. "Did you just say, that you still love me?"

"Uh, I, Uh, no! Like I said, I told her that I still care about you!" She corrected herself but it was too late, she had given it all away. The hidden emotions. she hoped she'd never tell anyone about, nor did she want him to ever now about her secret feelings for him.
