"This book is called what?" Asked Marc. He was six, and just learning to write.

"Amazing Armadillo," I said casually.

"So that word is amazing?" He asked, pointing to the first word.

"Yup," I nodded, getting back to my script.

"Mommy had two 'M's right?" Marc asked a couple minutes later.

"Three technically, but yes two together," I told him.

After a few more questions I was getting curious.

"Okay, I know this says scared, right?" He asked, gesturing to the book called "The Scared Little Bunny."

"Yeah buddy, it does, but can I see what you're working on?" I asked.

"It's not done yet," he said sheepishly.

"That's fine, I'd still like to see," I said gently. Marc had always been a creative and took any work he did very seriously for a six year old. He was determined to be a perfectionist. Y/n said he got it from me.

"I wanna wait until it's done," he said.

"Okay, but it's nap time in half an hour," I warned. Marc was good about getting in bed and going to sleep on his own, so all I needed to do was check on him. I entered his room and saw he was deep asleep. I went to his art table. I saw a gorgeously decorated card that said "for my mommy". I knew Marc wanted it to be done first but I couldn't help but open it.

"Dear Mommy, Daddy helped me rit this. You are amazing. I luff u. U hlep me wen I am scared. U r the bestest mommy. Nevr lev us. Daddy cant cook as gud as u, and I don't lik it becuz he mit cry if I spit it out. I luff U!"

My heart was so full I felt tears fill my eyes. I put the card down when I heard the front door. I bounded out and saw my gorgeous wife.

"Mon Amor," I threw my arms around her and kissed all over her face.

"What's all this for?" She chuckled, dropping her bag to hug me back.

"Don't ever leave me, I can't cook as well as you," I said, nuzzling my nose with her.

"What?" She asked.

"It'll make sense later," I said, kissing her cheek.
