Info - flirting around kids, wholesome fluff, just Christmas cuteness

"Mmmmm, good morning Mon amour," I heard the happy sigh, and my husband pulled me tighter. He kissed my neck.

"Merry Christmas," I said, and turned in his arms. I kissed him softly.

"Five," I sighed, and felt his lips quirk up.

"Four," he continued.

"Three," I said, but got in another kiss before the storm rolled in.

"Two," he mumbled into my neck.

"One," I chuckled.

"ITS CHRISTMAS!" The door was thrown open. Kieran and Hermione rushed in and immediately went for the bed. They were jumping up and down excitedly. After them came little Benjamin, toddling in with his periwinkle blanket and soother in his mouth.

"Benny!" Timothée said and grabbed up the boy.

"Presents!" Hermione begged.

"Please!" Kieran pleaded.

"No, no, no, pancakes first, you need to have food to give you enough energy to manage all that tape and wrapping paper," Timothée chuckled.

"Plus we aren't doing anything without your sister," I tutted.

"She's a baby," Kieran rolled his eyes. "She doesn't even know what Christmas is."

"Well yeah dummy, because it's her first," Hermione said, giving him a shove.

"You go down with Papa, I'll get Avril," I told them gently. I took Benny with me and changed his diaper. I got him in his adorable Christmas outfit, and brushed his tiny teeth. Next I grabbed baby Avril and changed and dressed her. We went down stairs.

Timothée looked incredibly lovely and domestic. He was in pajama pants but no shirt, but an apron. He lifted Hermione up to add eggs to the mixture. He and Hermione were always cooking buddies, she'd shown an interest in it early and so, he encouraged her. When she'd outgrown her easy bake oven, he helped her learn easy recipes.

"This is going to be delicious ma fille," he said gently as he tasted the pancake batter. He was always so sweet to her. I remember the time she added way too much salt to her cookies. When Timothée had tasted them he told her they were the best she could've done. When she tasted them and knew they were ruined she asked why he'd said that. He said because it is awesome to make mistakes, especially when you have someone who loves you to help you learn better. Timothée had assured her that he was learning too, and he was, he hadn't been some gourmet chef when we'd gotten married, but Hermione showed an interest so he did, he was just like that with the kids.

I slipped behind him, baby on my hip. I kissed his bare back, and slipped my hand under his apron, caressing the slender torso I loved so much.

"Mmmmm," the moan rumbled deep in his chest.

"This is all I want for Christmas," I sighed in his ear. I pinched his nipple.

"Be patient, you're worse than the kids," he chuckled.

I watched adoringly at my husband and his first born. I nursed Avril as Benny proved to me he could climb into his high chair. I cheered for him.

"Mommy, I set the table," Hermione chirped.

"You're such a sweet girl," I smiled.

"Breakfast is served, á La Hermione Chalamet," Timothée beamed. The breakfast was delicious, Hermione was really getting good.

"This is amazing!" Kieran exclaimed, no matter how much they fought, he was always kind about her cooking.

"Thanks Kier," she said happily.

"I can't wait to give you my gifts," Kieran said to us.

"Well, let's finish eating baby," I said. We finished up and went to the pile of presents in the living room.

"Mommy, Papa," Benny said softly.

"Yeah baby?" Timmy asked.

"I want Avwil to gow fwirst. It's her fwirst Chwistmas," he said.

"Awww, sweetheart, is that okay Hermione and Kieran?" I asked.

"Yes!" They said. Timothée took Avril in his arms and I got out my camera. Timothée helped Avril rip at the paper in the bag of her first gift. It was a stuffed cat. She hugged it and squealed.

"She loves it, I knew she would, it screams Avril!" Timothée said happily. Unlike my father, and a lot of dads I knew, Timothée thought about and purposefully bought all his children gifts. He'd bought the cat for Avril and been very worried she wouldn't like it.

The presents made their rounds. Of course, there were pauses, like when Kieran got an ornate pirate sword and had to sword fight Timothée, who lost because he only had Kier's old lightsaber toy. Hermione was squealing over her new cookbooks and already asking Timothée which ones he'd like to try first. I got Kieran a new paint set because he loved to paint. Timothée got Benny a huge box set of Dr Seuss books because he loved being read to. There were many more gifts but finally, shyly, Kieran came to me and Timothée with His gift. Avril was asleep with her cat in her arms.

"Can you open it at the same time?" He asked.

"Sure angel," I said softly. We opened it together and tears filled my eyes. I looked at Timmy and he was emotional too. It was our wedding picture, the one that hung over our bed. I'd always known our son had a knack for art, young as he was, but this was astounding.

"You made this?" Timothée gasped.

"I-I tried my very best," he whispered as if afraid we didn't like it.

"Fuc- I mean wow," Timothée said and grabbed his son.

"How'd I get such talented children?" He asked and ruffled his son's hair.

"It is outstanding Kieran, I'm going to to frame it and hang it next to the one we have up already."

"I was thinking, I could redo it every year, to show my progress. You could keep up the one from just the last year and the new one to show how much I've learned."

"You, Mon fils, have excellent ideas," Timmy said, tossing him in the air which made Kieran giggle.

I stared admiringly at my husband. Holidays often reminded me that he was such a great dad. I couldn't have asked for better.
