The two stepped out of their house into a place so dazzlingly colorful that Elliott had to stop for a moment and look around him. Dorothy continued to walk ahead with Toto.

There were birds chirping faintly in the background. There were several arrays of flowers, a pond, tiny huts, and a spiraling yellow brick walkway. It was, in short, a colorful magical land where everything is beautiful.

"Toto, Elliott..." Dorothy said. "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."

Elliott chuckled. "That's for sure, Dorothy."

The boy had caught up to her by this time, as the two finally stopped to look around them in absolute wonder.

Dorothy turned to Elliott. "We must be over the rainbow!" She said with shining eyes and a wide smile.

As she set Toto down on the ground, Elliott, who was looking in the other direction, saw a small colorful bubble floating towards them.

"Dorothy, look!" He said as he pointed to the strange bubble.

Dorothy straightened up and turned around to see what Elliott was pointing at.

As the bubble floated towards the two youths, it got bigger. By the time it was near them, it had grown taller than both of them and had gained a light, milky pink hue. Then, the bubble suddenly disappeared. In its place stood a woman with curly hair, a gorgeous pink and white gown, a pink crown on her head, and a long wand in her hand with a star on one end.

Elliott stared at her in awe.

"Now I know we're not in Kansas." Dorothy said timorously.

The woman approached them. "Are you a good Witch and Warlock or a bad Witch and Warlock?"

Dorothy looked around, before pointing at herself. "Who, me and Elliott?"

The woman nodded.

"Why, I'm not a witch at all." Dorothy replied, surprised. "I'm Dorothy Gale from Kansas."

"And I'm no warlock, ma'am." Elliott said. "My name is Elliott McDonald, I'm also from Kansas."

"Oh." The woman responded, before pointing to Toto with her wand. "Well, is that the witch?"

"Who, Toto?" Dorothy asked, now even more surprised and confused. "Toto's my dog."

The woman laughed. "Oh well, I'm a little muddled. The Munchkins called me because a new Witch and Warlock have just dropped a house on the Wicked Witch of the East, and there's the house, and here you two are, and that's all that's left of the Wicked Witch of the East."

She pointed to the house, and the two youths could see a pair of legs protruding from a space below it. There were shiny red heeled slippers on the feet, and a golden locket with a large red stone embedded in the middle lying right next to the body. Dorothy gasped in shock.

"And so," The woman continued. "What the Munchkins want to know is, are you a Good Witch and Warlock or a Bad Witch and Warlock?"

"But we've already told you," Dorothy said hastily. "We're not a witch and warlock at all!"

"Yeah, aren't witches supposed to be old and ugly?" Elliott asked.

He was startled by a mass of high-pitched giggling, causing him to turn around. "What was that?"

"The Munchkins." The woman answered the boy. "They're laughing because I am a witch. I'm Glinda, the Witch of the North."

Dorothy gasped in surprise. "You are?" She then dropped a half-curtsy. "Oh, I beg your pardon, but I've never heard of a beautiful witch before."
