Thankfully, Ulric comes to your rescue.

"I wondered why you weren't back in the Shadow Realm." He says to you, after you thank him for teleporting you back to the fortress.

"Standing around humans for hours was not the best." You answer, but images and memories from earlier today repeat in your mind, you are unable to stop thinking about Rascal and his fear scape. You could not come up with one word to describe his fear, perhaps he has multiple, though all you can wonder is if he is okay. And where is he? Would he be angry with you for being there in his fear scape too?

Heaviness tugs at your heart strings.

Returning the mirror to Brooha, as well as making sure you are there to watch as she destroys it, you then begin the search for the joker.

Surprisingly, it is not a hard task. You find him sitting on the fortress's ledge, overlooking the deep darkness below. In his hand is the ball of charms, he plays with it, spinning it on the tip of his finger.

"Not going to jump are you?"

The jester whips his head around to the direction of your voice, and stands up with a scowl, trapping the charm ball in his fist. "I have nothing to say to you."

Taken aback by his harsh nature, your breath hitches for a moment in your throat. "Are you...okay Rascal?"

The jester looks away. "Couldn't be better."

"If you wish to talk about what just happened, I am happy to listen if you like?"

"Talking would be a waste of my time, there are more important things to be doing~"

You sigh, then turn around to leave. "Maybe later then, you know where I am."

"...Wait~"

You turn back around to find Rascal with his gaze on you; the charms have vanished and he just stares with a slight frown. Keeping silent, you stare softly at him, waiting for more.

"I don't remember."

"Remember what?"

He swallows. "Half the memories in the fear scape."

This information stuns you, your own thoughts turning, attempting to wrap around this fact. He does not remember his own fear? The joker's reaction makes sense now, the confusion and being stunned.

Then you get an idea.

"Would you like to know? If you could?"

Rascal freezes, mouth turning downwards.

"Look," you continue, staring straight at him, "if you do not know the answers, why don't we go check the chambers? The Burrow would surely have some information on your past, everyone does. There is nothing to lose."

"There's no need~ You know the only mission here is to revive Emperor N-!"

"-but do you not want the answers?" You interrupt. "I know you are so curious to find out."

The jester tosses his head away childlike. "I told you, it would be a waste of precious time we don't have."

"Oh come on! I am sure you can spare a couple hours, we may find something."

He tilts his head at you, new information now just soaking in. "We?"

Your face heats up. "That is if you would let me go with you."
