Stuck on Repeat

"This is it... I am really going to die here..."

"Are you sure about this?"

"No doubting myself now or backtracking. It's too late for that."

"It's never too late. The antidote gets restocks every night. I have enough time to get another one if I'm quick."

"No. I have put too much work into this. Now start it."

He looked away. This isn't what he wanted... This wasn't how he wanted to go out...

"It's you! Tsumugi Shirogane!"

"Wait what-! No, it isn't! Shes to kind for that!"

"Thats why I need her to refute! I don't want to believe it either..."

"Mhm.. You really are worthy Shuichi... But sadly, this isn't how it's going to end."

"Huh-?"

There was the clang of something against metal. A girl close by did her best to hold her shriek in from the sudden noise. 

What was that? Is it an animal? 

The girl took some cautious steps closer. She then flung the door to a locker, where she presumed the sound had come from, and quickly stepped back. A boy fell out. With quite a loud thud I may add. He had dull blue hair and he seemed to be reaching for his hat which had fallen in front of him. 

"Hey, let me help you up!" The girl said, lending a hand out to help the boy. The boy accepted but was obviously weary as he seemed to think over the offer.

"I am Kaede Akamatsu. Ultimate Pianist! And you are...?" The girl introduced.

"Shuichi Saihara... I'm the Ultimate Detective but I am only an apprentice." The boy replied.

"Apprentice or not you are still the Ultimate Detective! Thats got to count for something!"

Wait... This is not right. Kaede? Am I dreaming? Don't freak out now Shuichi. If this is somehow real, you can't act rashly. She doesn't seem to remember who I am. Wait- She doesn't remember... Who I am...?

"Have I seen you before?" He asked cautiously to make sure his suspicions were correct.

"Hmm... No, I don't think so. Well saying that, I don't remember much before coming here actually so maybe. Sorry about that..." She said sheepishly with a small giggle at the end.

"Ah, no its fine. I don't remember much either..." Just play along. If you act... Oddly? You may end up with a line of questioning you don't want to be in.

"Do you perhaps know where we are? I have been thinking about it for the past ten minutes or so and I can't even remember how I got here." Kaede said.

"S-same." Dang it Shuichi! That not convincing at all!

"How about we see if there are any others? Someone's bound to know where we are after all. I think..." Kaede said not to convincingly.

"Sure. We have not much else to do anyways..." I don't want to be here. I don't want to be here. This should have ended. Why? Why? Why?

The two made their way down the corridor. The blue haired boy went back to his old habits of bringing his hat down to cover his eyes. He didn't want to believe it was true. It couldn't be true, could it? 

The girl kept poking her head around doors looking for anyone and Shuichi just stared at the ground whilst he was walking. Kaede eventually dragged Shuichi to the side, catching him by surprise.  Kaede poked the wall. This left Shuichi confused for a second until he realised, he could hear voices. K1B0 and.... Kokichi? Shuichi still couldn't decide Kokichi whole part in this game. There was evidence for both sides of the argument. The enemy and disguised ally.

Kaede dragged him inside so he couldn't continue his line of thought. However, the sight before him was not what he expected...

"How do you know my name!?"

"Huh- W-what- er-"

"Hello!?" Kaede interjected. 

Kokichi seemed to be accusing K1B0 of something this time instead of the robophobic insults like the first time.

"What were you two possibly arguing about?"

"This pile of junk somehow knew my name! I say its mighty suspicious in such a situation!"

"Hey that is robophobic! And- er-"

"Situation? Do you know why we are here? Oh yeah, what's your names by the way?" Kaede said trying to direct the attention away from the childish argument.

"Kokichi Ouma. Ultimate Supreme Leader! I run an organisation containing over ten thousand members!" Kokichi boasted.

Thats a lie.

"I am K1B0 or Keebo if you like. I am the Ultimate robot and no, we don't know why we are here or where we are."

"Oh... Thats a shame. Do you want to join us on our mission to help search for the others?"

"Welp. It's better than being stuck in here." Kokichi said and started making his way out of the room. Kaede did a little jog to catch up with him. Shuichi and Keebo both followed, slightly behind.

"Hey... Keebo? This may sound weird but, have you been here before?" Shuichi said looking towards the floor wondering if he had messed up.

"Y-you remember?" He replied with a sigh of relief.

"So, I'm not the only one... But the others seem to have forgotten."

"I have noticed that to." Keebo added.

Where's the exisals? Shouldn't they be chasing us by now? This is all out of order. Am I even sure I am not dreaming?

(Sorry for my mini break. I promise I will continue other books just suffering from writers block right now so wrote this to make up for it)
