Warm Winters

Myra's POV

I was busy on my phone completely forgetting the situation when Maa called me.

"Myra," she said, which made me look up at her.

"Yes maa" I said, keeping my phone down.

"Concentrate here" she said, telling me that an important conversation is going on. I just nodded at her, giving them my full attention.

"So what I was saying is that we should keep the engagement after 2 months. There's a good chance to use the 2 hours and also engagement doesn't take that long." Dad said

"No hitesh it takes longer than 2 hours, how will we manage in 2 hours?" Mom said

"We can manage if you ladies cut the gossip time." Papa said to which everyone laughed except the ladies.

"Oh please Jigneshbhai" Rasila aunty said scoffing.

"He's just telling the truth," dad said, backing up papa.

"Oh stop with this and decide about the engagement" Maa said jumping in.

"I thinks it's better to go with the muhurat and also 2 hours are enough" bhabhi said as few of them nodded.

"I agree" Bhai said to which everyone laughed.

"Bhai please not infront of everybody." I said to which bhai just shrugged his shoulders.

"What do you both think?" Nishant asked looking at me and Zeeshant.

"I don't mind it and also it's after 2 months" Zeeshant said.

"I agree" I said nodding my head.

"Myra please not infront of everybody." he said mimicking me as everybody else chuckled at us.

"So let's keep the engagement after 2 months." Rasila aunty said as other nodded while Nishant pulled out his phone to check the date.

"It's Wednesday 24th August" Nishant said.

"Panditji said the muhurat is from 7:30pm to 9:30 pm" bhabhi said.

Everyone continued talking about the timings for engagement and also all the traditions and stuff and also decided everything about the pooja.

They all kept bickering in between and now there are 3 teams made up already.

Aunty, mom and Maa are in one team while dad and papa are in the same team and us children are in the same team but aunty and Nishant keeps on changing teams.

After sometime the conversation started leading towards the plan for the engagement day when Nishant spoke-

"Aunty and uncle, you are going to do couple dance." Nishant announced.

"Ghare oochu nachave che ke baare pan nachavu che.'' ( Isn't her making me dance at home enough that now in public as well) dad said, making everyone laugh.

"Jao jao have" ( stop joking ) mom said laughing.

"No but you guys have to do it not only you guys but everyone is going to do it" Nishant states sternly.

"No way," Maa said blushing.

"Whyy auntyy please" Nishant whined.

"Its embarrassing" Maa said hiding her face shyly.

"Tell them honestly that you don't know how to dance" papa said to which everybody laughed cause Maa looked embarrassed.

"Not like you dance better than her" Rasila aunty said backing her team member.
