Warm Winters

Zeeshant's POV

I'm on my way to the party held by the company that I've recently bought. It's now officially under The Mehra Corporation.

There's time for me to reach the venue. I'm still in the car. And now that I'm finally having some free time, I can't stop thinking about Myra.

I told her that I'll be calling her every time I get free time but honestly there's not even a single minute where I've got to sit without any work.

It's all because I was actually supposed to come here for 5 months but we had the engagement after 2 months. I knew that once I'll be here, I won't be able to go back to India in between the dealings.

I had to cut it short also because dad asked me to stay in India now. I couldn't come here for the next 5 months right after I just spent a month in India.

I tried my best to manage everything but the situation turned out to be the worst. I haven't talked to mom since last week. And it's been 2 weeks since I talked to Myra and Dad.

The only person who's in contact with me is Nishant and that is also due to business purposes.

I know mom calls everyday and Mr.Sharma informs her everything, mom is used to it.

But Myra isn't.

Mr.Sharma said she called yesterday but I couldn't make even 2 minutes time to talk to her. It must've been so awkward for her to talk to Mr.Sharma.

And I noticed that she didn't call for 2 weeks. I know she must be hurt. I'll just make it up to everyone after I go back.

Nishant called this morning saying there's a surprise waiting for me. I still don't know what it is.

He is the one who kept me updated about everything happening there. Though we don't talk on calls apart from the business work.

He texted me everything saying how they'll go out together, how they'll had dinner together and when he went to Myra's house cause her parents asked him to visit them. He kept sending me pictures and texts even though I did nothing other than seeing them.

I feel like an outcast in my own family for the first time. I feel like I'm a hallucination, I'm there yet not there. How I know everything but couldn't be the one doing it with them.

And honestly I never expected that I'll be feeling like this and that also in just a month.

Nishant And I have always been busy with business work. The only time we get with mom and dad is at night and sometimes not even that.

I always thought that this is how our family will be cause ever since I've started working, there has been absolutely no change in our lives.

We work all day and then go back home, spend some time with mom and dad and then sleep. The cycle has been continuing for the past 8 years.

But now that Myra has entered our lives, everything has changed. Our schedule has changed.

My day starts with a sweet morning text and ends with a heartfelt night text. And the fun that we have texting each other is something that I've never experienced.

The whole environment of my house has changed. Everything feels so much more lively now.

Nishant's constant teasing, even though he has been doing it ever since I've known him, but suddenly it sounds so good. We rarely got time to tease each other. All we did before was work, work and work.

But since Myra has come, we started going on dinners, having video calls, spending time- listening to mom talk about Myra. I and Nishant have never been this smiling and happy.
