"Shay!" I shouted as an intense pain soared through my body. "I think I had a contraction!" I screamed. He came sprinting in, and immediately helped me up.
"It's ok, come on. Let's get to the car. Gavin watch the kids!" He shouted.
"Shay he's fourteen, he can't handle four kids. Call Casey." I said in between deep breaths.
"Ok, don't worry about it, let's get you to the hospital." He sounded nervous. I was two weeks early. Shay started dialing Casey's number as soon we began driving.
"Hey, Case, Colette just had a contraction. Could you head to our place and watch the kids?" Shay asked, trying to sound calm.
"Yeah, of course. Keep me posted, ok?" Casey asked.
"Yep. Thanks bro. Bye." He hung up. I groaned as another round of pain shot through me.
"It's ok. Almost there." Shay squeezed my hand.
"Shay, you're going 95!" I shrieked.
"It's ok, don't worry. We need to get you to the hospital." He soothed, though he was obviously a bit panicked.
I lay in the hospital bed, feeling much better after receiving my epidural.
"You ready for our lives to change forever?" Shay said into the camera. "She's dilated to a seven, it'll probably be less than an hour until our baby girls decide they are sick of Colette's stomach!" Shay joked.
I smiled. He always knew what to say in nerve wracking situations.
"How are we doing in here, Miss Butler?" Our nurse poked her head in the door.
"We're doing alright." I answered.
"You have some visitors. You son and daughters are here. Along with your sister in law." She opened the door and Gavin, Emmi, and Avia trailed in.
"Hi mom!" Avia said in a calm voice. "Brock and Daxton are with Casey. Kayli's in the bathroom." She explained.
"I'm glad you guys came." I smiled. "I'm surprised you want to see this after Daxton's birth!"
"Yeah but this time we get sisters!" Emmi squealed.
Over the next hour or so, I continued to grow closer to fully dilated. The nurses began setting up for labor.
"Alright, Colette, you ready?" The nurse asked.
I nodded, starting to feel pressure and pain.
"Alright, you can go ahead and push." The nurse instructed.
The second I started to push, I knew something was wrong.
