Quinn's doctor came up to us holding a stack of papers.
"Discharge forms!" He smiled. "Yay!"
"So the surgery went well?" Shay asked.
"She did great. Hopefully once she's older we can remove the tube, but that will be far away at this point. If she does seem to be improving, maybe edging towards nursing, do not let her nurse! It is not safe for an infant to eat normally with a feeding tube. Chances are she won't want to nurse, or else she wouldn't have a feeding tube!" He chuckled. "But if something changes in her diet, she needs to come back for another appointment."
"Ok. So if we have any problems with the feeding tube we call-"
"Doctor Wisnicki, she's the head of the hospital's infant dietary program." Our doctor said.
"Great. I think we're set. Thank you for everything, you really have done amazing with her." I smiled.
"It's my job."
Shay and I spent a few minutes filling out discharge forms, then sooner than we knew it, we were taking our baby home. It took a month and a half, but she is stable and healthy, and that's all we wanted. It really is not ideal to have to feed her through a feeding tube for every meal, but if that's what it takes to keep her healthy, give me ten tubes.

Sorry for the short update; this story is kind of low on my priority list. Right now I am focusing on iilwmwn (I'm in love with my worst nightmare) and then demolished, which btw, will NOT have a sequel. This book won't either. Iilwmwn might ;)
Anyway... Glad we caught up!!
