Just an ordinary walk on the park, which isn't a smart thing now that they thought about it. A teenager was heading back home after helping the janitor in a coffee shop clean up for the day, the employees didn't mind as he did it everyday.
It was already dark out and the air is fresh now that people aren't walking around, the teenager took in the peaceful atmosphere. They could only hear their own footsteps, the crickets, and gunshots...– Wait what?
The teen had no weapons to defend themselves and had no clue how to punch someone's ass, they were not apart of the police department after all.
So instead of running away, another dumb move they'll admit, they started to dial the local police and explained the situation. Despite most of their information being useless other than hearing gunshots, it was the best they could do.
Then it all happened in a flash, pain. The teen collapsed, dropping their phone as the screen broke and the police still on the line. Now they're choking on their own blood, it wasn't immediate and it was unbearably painful while it lasted.
The corners of their vision was turning dark, signaling their final moments. They could hear a voice above their dying body saying along the lines of, "Got another one.... Sure... Go...."
Why would anyone enjoy their pain? They were just a teenager, even still fresh in it. They were too young to die, but this is just how life works. They wanted to cry but they couldn't feel it, they even couldn't move their body anymore.
Their vision turning black, forcing them to have one final goodbye to this world. "I'm.. sorry for breaking our promise.." They muttered, after that it was silence.

A lot of things happened, not really as they're stuck in a void, but still. Years passed as far as they've been told by the occasional visitors with no body, strange isn't it?
They found out they were kept in some sort of void, not even in the afterlife? If it existed to begin with. They don't know whether to be sad or happy about it, everything just happened too fast for their liking.
Found out they no longer had a body and is just endlessly floating, that the beings who control this 'Void' judges them in a way to determine where they belong, to name a few. It's very confusing and they're still getting a hang on how it works.
As far as they know, they were in a part of this 'Void' where incoming reincarnations are sent to rest until they're fit for their new life. While they didn't mind being reincarnated as they thought it's cool, it's still a whole lot of information they didn't need it they got reincarnated without memories, if their memories are removed.
But hey, they made a few friends in this empty space! But they eventually had to leave to their next life and will never get to see them again. It felt wrong, real wrong.
As time goes on, they discovered a few of the SOULs and the meanings. They found out they represent the SOUL of KINDNESS, one of the main seven SOULs but they also had a white star on the middle of their SOUL..
Nevermind, they had the soul of TRUE KINDNESS. Which they are proud of, their hard work paid off. Having a green soul was rare but a green and tiny bit of white soul was even rarer, atleast that's how it worked around here. Wait, Undertale?
