The Realm In Between

(A/N: I just finished true colors and I am NOT okay, that WAS a big deal.)

Edric's POV:

What the actual HECK has my day been? Is Em okay? I can't breath properly so I can't ask for my scroll to call her. Mittens is probably being gay with Luz somewhere. Dad is normally consumed by work but when he's not he TRIES to care. Then that leaves the Bitch Who Birthed Me (BWBM for short). 

"Hey, I know a breathing trick that might help. A friend taught me." HE said, interrupting my train of thought. He then continued to count on his fingers a breath in-and-out. His breathing kinda sounded like Darth Vader but I blame it on the mask.

Once I could kind of breath I mustered, "You? Friends? I want to laugh but I don't think I have the strength to.

"Pfffttt- at least I can make people tremble at the mere sight of this mask." He said pointing to his mask.

"You looked cuter with it off," I said, teasing him.

He's speechless. Yesssssssssssssssss. 

"Well who do I have the honor of arresting today? You can be arrested for dishonor to a member of the Emperor's Coven, y'know?" he sarcastically said.

"Your future husband," I told him, thirsty for drama. What else can you except from a theater kid?

"Whaa.." was all he could muster.

"DUDE! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU SINCE YOU CUT YOUR HAIR I MISSED YOU!!!" A familar voice called out, once near pulling me into a tight embrace.

"Steveee, what's up dude!" I exclaimed returning the hug, "Has it really been that long?"

"Yes, it has been." he said pulling away, "You two are sooooooooooooooo gay."

"I WILL MURDER YOU STEVE," the tiny Golden G(ay)uard screamed.

"Let's get you home kiddo," Steve said with a light jab of his fist onto my shoulder.

"I can walk myself home Steve, I'm sixteen."I informed him

"If you say so, c'mon Lil G, time to go give your uncle the daily report." Steve said first looking at me then shifting his attention to the Golden Guard.

"I told you to stop calling me that TWEVLE YEARS AGO!!!!" He said walking off, Steve following him.

I decided to call Em to let her know I was alive and started to walk home after the strangest day of my life.
