SPM: Generations

Toady beeped happily as I slipped the drone into my bag, gently patting the mushroom dome as I did. A knocking came at my door, although I suspect that my friends had been knocking the whole time I was talking with Toady and that I had just tuned them out.

"DJJJJJJJJJJ-" Origana yelled.

I quickly slipped on my mask with a smile and turned, starting for the door. I grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened it, giving them a second to stop pounding on the door so they don't accidently hit me. All three of my friends and Timpani were standing there with arms crossed and upset expressions, clearly ready for a second round of arguing.

"DJ, for the last time, we're all going with you to help!" Timpani exclaimed.

I smiled and shrugged in response.

"Alright. Where's the first stop?" I asked with a grin.

All of them appeared taken aback by this, my friends all arching their eyebrows in suspicion.

"You're fine with this now?" Onyx questioned.

I nodded happily in return.

"Yup! I apparently just had to talk to my 'emotional support robot'." I stated while repressing a snicker.

Toady poked its head out from my bag with a beep and a smile, making all of my friends scream in shock and fear, stumbling backwards as they did.

"What in the worlds is that thing!?" Origana exclaimed, frantically pointing at Toady.

Timpani was the only one unaffected as she smiled, walking up to me and giving me a hug.

"Don't worry, I promise that we'll get your father back," Timpani whispered.

I smiled softly and returned the hug.

"Thank you, Mrs.Timpani..." I murmured.

She pulled back eventually, humming and brushing off her dress as she turned to address all four of us kids.

"Alright, I know who has the Dark Prognosticus. To get there, I'm going to use a Warp Pipe that leads us directly to the Mushroom Kingdom," Timpani explained.

Origana, Kade, and Onyx all "Ooooh"ed in response.

"A warp pipe?" Origana questioned.

"I've never used one of those before!" Kade said with a laugh.

Timpani chuckled in response, smiling at him as she did.

"Well, there's a first time for everything!" She cheered.

I hummed to myself, a realization coming to me.

"Wait, Mrs.Timpani, what about Mr.Blumiere? I don't think he'd want you doing this," I pointed out.

Timpani curled her lip with a harrumph as she placed her hands on her hips, tapping her foot as she thought.

"Hmmm... That's definitely true," Timpani replied. "Ooh! I got an easy solution, hehe!"

Me and my friends all arched eyebrows in confusion as she cleared her throat.

"Rudy! Aqua! I need you both for something!!!" Timpani called out down the hall.

Wait, where even were the twins at? How could she be so certain they'd hear her??

Before I could question any more, I watched as both Aqua and Rudy zoomed down the hall towards us. The two of them came to a halt in front of their mom, hands folded behind their backs with smiles that made them look guilty of something.

"Yes, mom?" They both asked with a cheerful voice.

"I'm willing to UNground you both if you can do me a favor," Timpani stated with a smirk.
