"Hm..." She had to think for a moment. The only people that came to her mind were her parents again. Maybe that was saying she missed them, or she thought they would just be useful in helping keep everyone alive, especially since they plan on bringing everyone back as soon as they could, and with only one pair of hands available, it's too much work for one person. Her parents would be perfect, at least, maybe her mom. Her dad isn't in Japan right now. But, if not them, then who? Maybe that girl who left a love letter in her shoe locker? No, she barely remembers interacting with her. Maybe another doctor from the hospital her mom worked at? That would be good, but this was (Y/n)'s choice. "No, I don't think so."
"Really?" Senku teased. "Not gonna revive someone you like and pull a Romeo on them?"
"You do remember Romeo and Juliet died at the end, right?"
"So?"
"You really are hopeless at romance," The physician laughed softly. Oh how she remembers Senku avoiding love like it was the plague, even though it's just a feeling someone gets in their heart, stomach, and head. Human emotions aren't an easy thing to understand. "Anyways, no. I don't think love would be the best idea in a world like this. We should focus on making this a safer world for everyone we revive. Once that happens, then I'll think about taking on a romantic partner. What about you?"
"You know how I feel about all that romance stuff," The red eyed boy chuckled, cracking his neck a little. "It's illogical. Why like someone when you have a high probability of breaking up? Why marry someone if they have a high probability of divorcing or you divorcing them? Why have children and make your life harder?"
"That's just what some people want," She shrugged her shoulders. "Dating is hard. Finding the right partner is like trying to find a small piece of real gold in a large pile of fools gold, without any tools. You're gonna guess and guess and guess, and you'll be wrong a lot of the time. But, once you find that genuine piece of gold, you'll be happy without a doubt."
"That was the stupidest analogy I've ever heard in my life."
"Shut up."
The next morning, Senku and (Y/n) happily carried the supplies they needed to make gunpowder. Senku carried the sulfur while (Y/n) carried some charcoal sticks.
"We have the three components we need to make gunpowder." Senku set down the bag while (Y/n) started untying the charcoal stick from each other.
"For real?" Taiju asked, excited to get this project started. "We got all of 'em already?"
"The only thing left is to mix it up," Senku had the usual sadistic smirk when he got excited about science. "It's time for a gunpowder cooking class that'll be a total blast!"
Change of scene! Senku and (Y/n) were standing in a scene from a cooking show from their time. Senku and (Y/n) were the chefs while Yuzuriha was on microphone and Taiju was on camera. They were all wearing clothes from their time, which was definitely different. Don't ask, there was no logical explanation of how this happened.
"Gunpowder ingredient number one," Senku held up one finger, starting this little show. "Is sulfur, which there's plenty of at this hot spring!"
(Y/n) poured the sulfur into an empty bag, the one designated for gunpowder.
"Number two: charcoal," Senku held up two fingers. He was throwing in the charcoal sticks they had gotten from burning wood from the fire pits they had. "And we can get as much of it as we want just by burning wood."
