"So this hair-looking stuff's gonna turn into silver?" Chrome asked, holding up something that did truly look like silver hair, or maybe white hair. "That's bad. I was almost positive they were some kinda roots."
"The raw materials of a lot of things can look like something they truly are not," (Y/n) said, sitting down on the ground with Senku and Chrome working on creating a silver spear. Now why was (Y/n) down out of the shed instead of looking around for a wealth of plants she could use for medicine? Well, that's because Kinro and Ginro were practicing for the Ground Bout with Kohaku, and she fears the brothers might get beaten up too much by Kohaku. "Remember what I said about the red dye in foods being beetles? That's the raw material itself, but you would think it's from something that is very much so not bug-like."
In the midst of practicing, Ginro looked over at the scientists, physician, and little girl, working on the spear. Senku and (Y/n) and Senku both have their reasons for making this silver spear, while Chrome is just wanting to learn, and Suika is just curious. "So cool. They're gonna make my silver spear with that, huh? Wow! Science is actually super weird, isn't it? Hey, that reminds me..."
Ginro talking brought Kohaku and Kinro out of their little practice struggle.
"Kinro, don't you have an awesome golden spear?" And he had hit close to home. "Oh, whoops. I remember now. You don't have one! I kinda can't believe we're only gonna have the silver one and not the gold one."
Ginro, you need to move your arms, not your mouth!" Kohaku yelled at the younger brother, and kicked him hard, making him fly against a tree. Honestly, he deserved it.
"I'm not helping him." (Y/n) watch the entire interaction. Honestly, she is not going to help someone who was purposefully antagonizing his older brother by hitting a raw spot.
"So, I meant to ask you," Chrome looked at Senku and (Y/n). "Why are you two only making a silver spear?"
"Easy," Senku replied first. "Because it's essential to our quest to acquire the most dangerous material."
That confused the two.
A little while later, Ginro had gotten his silver spear. It was shiny and reflective, and Ginro could not be happier. "So shiny! So awesome!"
"Is he crying?" (Y/n) asked, arms crossed as she witnessed this very... sight...
"Yep." Senku said, packing away some of the stuff they had used to make this silver spear.
"Thank you, Senku! Thank you, (Y/n)! I love my silver spear!" Ginro really was not taking into consideration how his older brother may be feeling that his golden spear is no longer with him, since it was needed to make an essential thing to further the development of science.
"He is so immature..." (Y/n) mumbled to herself, and observed the older brother trying to act like his younger brother was not getting to him. She was gathering the materials needed for the next stepping stone of humanity.
"You don't have to flap your gums one millimeter to thank me." Senku said, stopping the blonde boy from practically making out with his spear. "The fact is, I didn't make that for you. Come on, we need to get moving. Ginro, your job today is to be the team's bodyguard."
This just gave the boy unnecessary hope and confidence, that (Y/n) knows he does not have.
The group started traveling, specifically (Y/n), Kohaku, Chrome, Senku, and Ginro. Ginro was in the front, chanting that he was the bodyguard of the group.
