- he was very shy about it.
- rain didn't really know how to go about asking you since it was such a big step in the relationship—even though you spent most nights in his room anyway
- he ended up asking dew for advice, the fire ghoul very eagerly offering himself as the bearer of news.
- rain was hesitant, but took up his best friend's offer.

"Y/N!" dew yelled as he barged into your room, rain quickly rushing in an apologizing as you yelped in surprise.

"what if she was changing, you idiot!" rain scolded dew. the fire ghoul just shrugged, grinning as he rushed over to you.

dew knelt beside your bed, taking your hand into his as he smiled up at you. you raised an eyebrow, looking down at him.

"rain has a question." dew smiled, biting his bottom lip to hold himself back. "what's up?" you asked, looking at rain who was fidgeting with his fingers nervously as his tail swayed behind him.

"no, no, he asked me to ask you." dew said, bringing your attention back to him. "no i-" rain started. "shut up." dew cut him off, not even glancing at the water ghoul. rain rolled his eyes, becoming frustrated with dew.

"okay.. what's his question?" you asked. "it's a very big question. it's one that'll change a lot of things. and honestly it's about time he asked you cause-" dew started, rain cutting in. "dude, just say it." rain grumbled. "no! rain, this kinda thing needs buildup." dew explained, looking back at rain. the fire ghoul grinned as he noticed rain was getting worked up. dew looked back at you.

"anyway, rain really loves you and you spend all your time with him so he thought that this next step was ready to happen. keep in mind he loves you a lot-"

"satanas, dew, don't guilt trip her. you're not helping. go away." rain shooed away dew as he hurried forward, wacking the fire ghoul in the shoulder with his tail.

dew snickered as he stood, rushing out of the room with a big grin on his face.

"i'm sorry about him." rain sighed as he climbed into you bed, holding onto your hands. you smiled, shrugging.

"just dew and his antics." you grinned. rain chuckled softly, smiling down at his lap as he worked up the courage to ask you to move in with him.

"raindrop, what's wrong? you're kinda worrying me." you whispered, removing one of your hands from his and gently holding onto his jaw, tilting his head up so he would look at you.

rain smiled softly, moving one of his hands to yours, gliding his thumb over your knuckles as you caressed his cheek.

"will you move in with me?" rain asked, gently holding your wrist. you paused for a moment, staring into his deep blue eyes. 

rain's heart dropped as he watched the gears turn in your mind, anxiety overcoming him.

then you smiled.

and rain could've sworn that was the biggest wave of relief he'd ever felt.

"i thought that was what this was about." you giggled softly. "i've spent far to many nights in a row in your room for it not to be." you squeezed rain's hand.
