— flashback —

"kids, you have a new orphan to join you all"

everyone stopped playing and looked up at me in surprise.

"what's your name again?" the orphanage woman asked me. "hiroyuki..." "alright, your bed is over there, i'll see you guys at dinner"

the woman closed the door behind me after she left, i stared down at the floor and slowly walked over to my bed.

i sat down, it wasn't really comfortable but good enough to live here for a while! until someone adopts me.

i hope i get adopted soon, all these kids are just playing by themselves. i wont find any friends here.

suddenly, a guy sat down next to me on my bed "can i call hiro?" "what?" "hiroyuki way too long! so i call you hiro?"

i silently nodded at him.

"my name haoyu, but you can call hao, or yu, or haoyu!"

the guy looked weird, his eyes were so slim, he had black hair and almost black eyes. he also had a very weird accent and his grammar was horrible as well.

(a/n: not racist please guys he's just a kid and doesn't understand)

"why you are here?" "my parents aren't alive anymore... you?" "don't know, i come from china!" "oh, i heard of china before!"

"i want to learn better japanese, can you help?"

me and hao became very good friends, i've been here for at least 2 months already.

"hiro, my japanese is way better now, because of you" i smiled back at him "yea, and i learned a bit of chinese because of you!"

we've been teaching each other our language. i taught him better japanese so he'll have it easier here and he taught me chinese because i simply wanted to learn it.

"what do you want to become when you're an adult?" hao asked while making a little hill out of sand.

"i want to make food, i want to be able to make delicious food and i want people to call me over whenever they need a chef! and you?"

"i wanna become a cool gangsta! i want people to be scared of me, i want to be a cool man and found a gang, just like my father!" "then i will cook for your gang members" i smiled while putting a stick into his little hill.

i swiped through my phone, the peaceful silence was interrupted by haoyu entering the room, his arm hooked with a woman.
