I got up and yawned, repeating my morning routine again, starting to get bored of it already, before i walked out, Eduardo stopped me, looking slightly annoyed? Jealous? I dont know... but he started to talk.
"hey , y/n do ya like that guy who you've been walkin to work with?" i could tell by his tone that he wasnt joking, so i stopped, and turned around to face him , taking a slightly deep breath in, before beginning to talk,
"No, not in the way you seem to be implying, i just seen him as a friend, because i dont really want to walk alone, due to- well its nothing i want you to worry about, but no, no i dont" eduardo gave me a look, before walking off to to back upstairs.
I took another breath in, wondering what that was about before walking outside. Matt having just started to walk up the street, giving a small wave annoyed. I waved back as he started to speed walk up.
"Hey y/n," i noticed his tone was slightly annoyed, now that i mention it, the wave seemed to be annoyed too... could he have heard what happened yesterday? No... he wasnt near the door. And he wasnt even talking today, maybe he did hear... i sighed and looked at him, starting to talk
"You uh, you heard what they said yesterday, didnt you?" matt looked at me, and then away, his normal smile, not the nicer one was on his face.
"Maybe, maybe not, what do you care, your gonna 'keep an eye out' for me anyways, right?" His tone was darker was usual, i stopped and after a few seconds he did too, i took a deep breath in,
"Matt... im sorry i shouldve told you... it was wrong of me not to," matt turned to face me, taking his hands out of his pocket to walk over and wrap one arm around my shoulder
"Naw its alright, i forgive ya anyways, not like I have anyone else to talk to" i still felt a little guilty, not really looking at him, while he removed his arm from my shoulder, and we started to walk again. Matt beginning to talk again "im glad you apologized to me though, its more than most people would do" i gave a slight smile in his direction. While we were walking i noticed a few things, due to not wanting to look directly at matt, like access feathers, and moving trucks in two places, one with the nice garden, and one that was slightly beat up, actualy more than slightly.... REALLY beat up,
After awhile we showed up at work, jack waiting outside smoking, matt was almost immediantly called for by steven, and jack started to talk.
"So youre still walking with him?" I stopped meself from continuing to walk inside,
"Well, he lives the same way as me, what am i supposed to do? Run away from him?" jack gave me a look,
"matt lives the same way home as you?" he said, taking a draw from his cigarette i nodded "aint that street like, fancy or somethin?" i shook my head, 'no' he shrugged, dropping his cigarette on the ground, stomping it out, " you still seemed friendly with him, whats that about?" i took a breath in before answering
"I felt bad... and he was annoyed with me, he, he heard what you said yesterday, and i didnt want him to be mad" jack seemed to freeze in his tracks,
"Wait- wait.... He HEARD what we said?!" he seemed slightly panicked for some reason.
"Uhm, yes? Is that a bad thing" jack didnt give me an answer, but ran inside, i wonder what the issue was? I walked in and sat down at the counter, getting on my phone, when jack ran back over with dave. Who then in a panicked voice asked.
"Did- did matt really hear what we said yesterday?" i gave a small, and rather confused nod,
"Uhm, yeah? Whats wrong.....?" Dave looked panicked and then turned to jack. "I thought you said you would make sure he didnt follow!?" he then started mumbling something like 'this is bad' i was really confused now? Why were they so anxious about matt? Hes not so bad..... So whats wrong with them?
