"LANA, my princess, wake up." A voice whispered.
"Mm."
"Come on, Lana you have class."
"One more minute, J." Alana whispered.
"Come on, princess."
Joe leaned down and started kissing Alana's neck, then nibbled on her ear.
"Joey." Alana moaned and turned toward him.
"Now you're awake." Joe smirked.
"I'm so tired, baby." Alana whispered.
"I know, princess, but it's time for class. You and I can nap after lunch." Joe suggested.
"Okay." Alana muttered.
"We don't have to nap, though." Joe smirked.
"Oh really?" Alana whispered softly with raised eyebrows. "What would we do? Baby?"
"I'd show you right now if you didn't have class." Joe whispered back.
Alana giggled and they shared a soft kiss.
Alana woke up with a soft smile. She opened her eyes, she was greeted by the sleeping face of her boyfriend Jake.
She gasped and sat up. She just had a dream about her ex boyfriend while sleeping next to her current boyfriend.
Nonetheless, she let out a relieved breath when she saw it wasn't her ex.
It wasn't Joey. It was Jake.
"Are you okay, Alana?" Jake asked with his eyes closed.
Alana shot up from the bed with sweaty hands. She was panting and felt like she was burning in a fire.
That's what her dream was about too. A fire.
"Are you okay, Lana?" Joe asked in a husky voice.
Alana looked over and stared at him.
"Princess?"
She let out a shaky breath and Joe took her in his arms.
"Was it a bad dream? What happened?" He asked.
"The fire." Alana whispered.
Joe knew exactly what fire Alana was talking about. When she was a little girl, her house burnt down. Her parents were able to get out, but couldn't get her out, so she was stuck in the fire until the firemen finally came and got her out. She should've been dead, but she somehow survived. Now, though, she had bad lungs because of the smoke and had a big burn mark going from her armpit to her wrist on the backside of her arm. She always covered up that scar. Until Joe came into her life and made her less insecure about it.
A few tears started to drip down her face and onto Joe's chest.
"Oh, princess, don't cry. It isn't real. It was before, but it isn't anymore. You survived. You're a survivor. You're alright now. I've got you." Joe whispered as he ran his hands over her black hair.
She looked up at him and he wiped the tears from her wet face.
"Did I wake you?" Alana asked.
"I don't care about that, I only care about you." Joe answered.
Alana gave him a soft kiss and they lied back down.
