Yuzuriha stood up with Taiju, holding her hands out to check if the storm really was over.
"That thunderstorm was providing some serious cover for us," Senku's voice piped in. "So keep your voices down from here on out. Because if Tsukasa hears us, it's game over for real."
They seem to not have realized that Senku was alive, and got ready for the possibility of Tsukasa showing up.
"You're right!" Taiju faced the tree.
"He's not coming, is he?" Yuzuriha asked.
Now they realized that Senku was indeed alive. What was the result of seeing their friend alive? Senku was nearly being crushed half to death by Taiju, with Senku kicking him off.
"That killer tried to painlessly sever my spine," Senku angrily said as he watched his brown haired friend go flying. "But you'd crush my whole body? Let go!"
(Y/n) sighed as she watched the interaction. Right after coming back to life, Senku was back to his normal self.
Senku tried to catch his breath after nearly getting his lower spine crushed by Taiju. He chuckled, surprising Yuzuriha a little. "You know I'm not the type of guy who does this whole 'emotional, teary-eyed gratitude' kinda thing, so don't expect that."
"Yeah," Yuzuriha smiled as some tears were in her eyes, happy to see the scientist back. "Welcome back, Senku."
(Y/n) whacked Senku on the back of the head, making the red eyed boy groan in pain. "Once we get modern technology back and I have all my medical equipment back, I'm keeping my word on kicking you to the point of hospitalization."
"Please don't." Senku chuckled, looking at his friend. He won't tell her, but Senku could see her eyes were a little puffy, meaning she had cried. If he were to tell her, she won't wait till she has all her medical equipment to put him in a state of hospitalization. "Humanity needs me."
(Y/n) rolled her eyes. "Stop making good points."
Yuzuriha had an idea. She cut part of one of the bags, and did a little of her crafting work, and made something she found cute. "What do you think? Does that look like a rocket ship to you?"
"There's a bunch of stars, too!" Taiju pointed out.
"Yeah, no," Senku shot them down. "I'm not seein' it."
"Oh, I can see it as well," (Y/n) took a closer look. "Nice job Yuzuriha."
"Awe thank you (Y/n)." The brown haired girl laughed nervously. She felt as though it wasn't her best work. Then again, they don't have all the crafting materials that are needed to make a flag to the expectations she would want. No sweat. She directed her attention to Senku to explain what she was going for. "It's a science flag, and I think it's perfect for you, Senku!" Yuzuriha stood up and grabbed a very large stick. She wrapped the flag around Senku's neck and stood the stick up so it was taller. She started tying the stick to Senku's back. "It can even help your neck!"
"Great idea!"
"And now you have a splint, see?" Yuzuriha asked.
"Ten-billion percent sure I don't need this," Senku groaned and looked over to the doctor. "Right doc? I don't need this splint."
"Uh, yeah you do," (Y/n) said, a teasing smirk on his face. This is her way of slightly getting back at the scientist for giving her such a scare. I mean, dying right in front of his friends is already heart attack inducing. Might as well get a little revenge. "You did have your neck broken, so we should keep it still as much as possible."
