We're in this together - A Bad Batch Story

It had been about a month since the citadel and fives started spending a lot more time with you even avoiding missions if you had a bad feeling about them. Rex even introduced you to Jesse, Kix and Tup from the 501st. You noticed how fives was spending a lot of hive time with Tup similar to how he was with echo, although this made you sad fives seemed happy so you left it alone.

It was bothering you more and more at how close fives was getting with Tup, you were happy he was finally happy after echo died but no one could ever replace him. You wanted to talk to Rex instead of going straight to fives so you didn't hurt his feelings, you went to the canteen to see if he was there because it was around lunch time. Not much to your surprise everyone was there rex, fives, Jesse, Kix and Tup.

You peered through a slight gap in the door and decided you didn't want to just walk straight in so you went up a floor to the window overlooking the canteen where Lana Se was stood "ah y/n I have been meaning to speak to you about your studies how is it going" she said in her normal calm voice, you quickly replied with "um yeah they are going fine" while you were trying to get Rex to look up at you and after a few minutes he did you gestured for him to come to your room which he nodded to.

Once you both got to your room you spoke "Rex is fives trying to replace echo with tup?" He sighed subtly and knelt in front of you and said in a calm voice "y/n fives would never replace echo and neither can anyone else. We all miss him, you and fives the most but we eventually have to move on. It is what echo would have wanted" you looked down and nodded realising that he was right, he then got a message on his comm link from fives "hey Rex where'd you go? We have a briefing to get to come back to the canteen we will all wait for you" "copy that" he replied and gave you a nod before leaving.

The guys had been on a mission for a few days and just returned but something was off. You could see that Tup was in handcuffs and was being taken to the medical centre by fives you rushed down to figure out what was happening. You tapped Rex on the arm interrupting the conversation he was having with General Anakin Skywalker. "Oh hey kid, excuse me general" Anakin gave a quick nod before walking in the other direction.

Rex walked you back to your room he could tell you were a bit stressed and he had a good idea of why. As you got  to the room and sat down on the bed you just asked the questions that Rex was expecting "why was Tup in handcuffs? Is he okay? Did he do something wrong? Why was he being taken to the medical wing?!" He could tell you were stressing out a bit so calmed you down before speaking "um he is okay I think but something happened on the mission and he-he shot general tiplar, and he went into this trans sort of thing he, doesn't remember anything" after taking in the information you replied quickly with "that doesn't sound like him at all! What did Kix think was wrong?"
You could tell that Rex was unsure and didn't want to talk about it but he answered "no it doesn't sound like him and Kix said he didn't know either. I should probably get to his room and check on him and fives, would you like to come?" You were unsure at first but Tup was your friend and you wanted to be there for him "sure I'll come, is fives there?" You also hadn't seen fives in a few days and wanted to see him "yeah he is already there, come on then" and he led you to Tups room.

As soon as you got there you ran straight into fives arms he held you close. "Hey kid" he said as an attempt to make a conversation. You were about to reply when Lana Se came in to check on Tup "hello CT-5555 has there been any changes?" she said while looking down at a data pad you quickly hid behind fives in an attempt not to be seen but it was you were a bit too slow "y/n I already saw you, you know you shouldn't be here go back to your room and study" she sounded a bit annoyed so you agreed and slowly walked back to your room "don't worry y/n I will come let you know with any updates" you turned around nodded then walked off.

About an hour had passed since you got kicked out the hospital wing and fives walked into your room "they have transferred Tup to a different facility without warning they just took him on a ship" he said looking down "what! I didn't even get to say goodbye!" You yelled in a harsh tone wanting ti go see your friend "I know I know I didn't get to say a proper goodbye either." This reminded you of when echo died fives had the same look on his face and the same tone of voice.

Hey so this part is a bit shorter then the other part but it is just because I'm going to skip the part where fives discovers the chips it will be brought up and he will know about them but not in as much detail as the show. Hope you are enjoying and it might be a while before the next part is out as I will write part 3 and 4 and release them at the same time!
