it's been 9 years now, and i could talk with luffy just fine, in fact we are practically inseparable.

the cave we had found all those years back became our secret hideout that not even ace and sabo knew about.

times were good, i had a two brothers, and someone i cared more about then anybody i've ever met.

i don't know how to describe luffy and i's friendship he may only think i'm a friend but i feel something different, i don't know what i feel, or why i feel like this, but when he's around i get a weird feeling in my stomach, and my face feels warm.

he gives me so much courage to try new thing's, and he's the reason i have a dream, a dream to venture out in to the world!

i only have a year or so left before i leave the island, ace and sabo already left, now it was just me and luffy. (in this story the fire never happened and sabo was never taken away.)

luffy and i decided to make the most of the time we have left on the island.

we ran around and did any fun activity we could think of, from eating ice cream to skydiving using his powers.

"Y/n!! look what i got!" luffy yelled happily, he ran into the cave's clearing carrying a camera.

"wooow! where did you find that!" i yelled back, as i jumped off and over a couch we had in there.

"dadan gave it to me! she found it in a box in the storage room!" he replied with cheer, he slowed down as he got closer to me so he wouldn't hit me, " here take a look! we could take photos to remember each other before you leave!" he said.

during the rest of the year you both tried to spend a lot of time together, taking pictures wherever you two went.

your fav pic was of you two holding up peace signs, with big smile's on your faces, you were up in the crows nest of the tree house with the sea behind you both.

but they say 'time flys when your having fun' and it sure did, you only had one day left and you were gonna make the most of it, you jumped out of bed early in the morning, woke up luffy then got ready for the day (just a quick fyi luffy isn't entirely dense in this story he understands love to some extent)
