The Captain and the Assistant

Sun hits your face and your eyes flutter as you come to. You reach over to the other side of the bed and find yourself still in Levi's room. He isn't there and his things are gone.

You search the room with your eyes, rubbing out the sleep. You see in the corner on a chair is your dress from last night, folded neatly. fuck.

You had wished that was all a dream, but as you swung your legs over the bed to take a step, you stumbled. You wobble over to the mirror to see your makeup smudged on your face from the night before. Your half up-do is still sort of in tact, but a large strand has fallen out of the clip. Your raise your hand to your forehead, which is pounding.

Your legs are shaking as you try to slip into your dress. Your mind races, trying to fill in the pieces of last night. Your heart feels heavy. You did have feelings for Levi, not just lust, and your dumbass just admitted them last night and ruined everything. Drunk words really are just sober thoughts.

You carefully slip on your skirt from your dress, balancing on one leg feels impossible right now. You feel so weak, from the wine and from last nights activities. You reach for your corset, that you forgot had ripped when Levi tore it off you.

Then it hits you. The scouts. Erwin. They must have returned by now.

You slip your ripped corset over your chest and have to hold it in place as you run out of Levi's room, down the hall, and to your room.

You find another commander after you've changed and they tell you where Erwins being taken care of.

You sprint to the hospital, as fast as your wobbling, sore legs will carry you and climb the stairs to his room. You fling the door open and look around the room. Levi's there and Erwin is laying in the bed. You scan him quickly and your eyes widen when you realize. Where the fuck is his other arm?

You can't help it. You slap your hand over your mouth and tears start coming to your eyes. You feel Levi's eyes on you as you move closer to Erwin.

"He'll be fine," Levi states calmly, "but he'll be out for a while."

You stand over Erwin. It's weird to see him in this comatose state. You've never seen him so peaceful and quiet.

"What the fuck happened," you mutter with your eyes still locked on Erwin.

"The beast titan, the armored titan, and the colossal titan happened," Levi says curtly.

You stay silent as you watch Erwins weak breath. His chest slowly moves up and down. He's weak. It almost makes you sick to see him like this. He's the face of the scouts, the toughest people within the walls, and he's incapacitated. How did it happen?

Levi seems to read your mind, "He had it ripped off by a titan. The only reason they got out is because Eren did some type of voodoo on the Titans and they attacked the armored."

You don't know what to say. You can't possibly wrap your mind around all of this. It's too much and your brain feels like it's banging around in your head from your hangover.

"Well, fuck," you sigh as you look over to Levi.

He begins to walk towards the door. You wait for him to say something, anything about last night, but he doesn't. Shit maybe you did ruin everything.

"Levi..." you whisper out, but he doesn't hear you and the door closes behind you. You have to go after him. You have to swallow your pride. You can't let last night ruin everything.

You rush out the door and yell after Levi, who's rounding a corner outside, "Levi- please wait," you shout. You limp towards him, your legs weak and stiff.
