"You are staying on this ship," Levi orders loud enough for both Hange and everyone else aboard to hear him. "You do not leave for any circumstances."

You cross your arms and cock your head to the side, "Yes, Captain," you say only slightly annoyed.

So much had happened over the last month. After the peace conference didn't go well in Marley, Eren had snuck off and made you all scramble to figure out a way to come and save him, and hopefully get the ball rolling with Zeke's plan, which you knew Levi couldn't stand. Everything about this made him surge with anger, especially the thought of being away from you during this battle.

Levi grabs your hand, he almost seems nervous. Your fingers interlace and you look deep into his gray eyes. You squeeze his hand, silently telling him you will be fine. It had been your plan to stay on the ship with Hange and Onyankopon for phase two of the plan that you had thought of. You knew Levi was just being cautious. You all hadn't had to fight like this since Sheganshina, and you were almost eaten by a titan then. Saved only by Levi.

You lean in to kiss him, but he pulls away and turns away from you.

"Hey, what's wrong? Talk to me," you insist, pulling his hand back towards you, squeezing it again. It was rare of him to act this distant. Maybe he had noticed the awkwardness between the two of you, that was basically one sided. There had been something you needed to talk with Levi about, but after infiltrating Marley and the planning and training required for this fight, there hadn't been a good time. A pit dropped in your stomach, you wonder if he knew somehow.

"I can't lose you," he said still turned away from you. You could barely hear him over the hum of the blimp testing it's engines. Anti-Marleyan soldiers were rushing around to get the plan in motion. You could sense Levi's uneasiness with them helping set the ship up. He was always wondering when they would turn against the Eldians.

You close the distance between the two of you and wrap your other arm around his neck, drawing small circles on the back on Levi's head to help calm him down.

"You won't," you promise, leaning in for a kiss. Levi stands rigidly, only faintly returning the pressure.

You pull away from him, dropping your arms to your sides in a concerned annoyance, "You're telling me not to die and that's the last kiss we could ever share together?" You cross you arms over your chest and stare at his face, searching for even the remotest sign of feeling in his dark eyes.

Suddenly Levi drops to the ground, he's on one knee and his arms rest on top of them, supporting his weight. You wonder if he's not feeling okay. You got to move towards him and help him up.

"I'm no good at this," he starts and you stop moving. You stand close to him, staring down at the top of his neatly combed hair. You loved the way it fell in his face when he looked down at the ground, or at you when you were under him. You smile at the thought.

"I can't lose you because what I said in the tent, I meant it," Levi says quietly, his words trailing off under the sound of the blimp.

Is he....?

"Y/N, before I go, I have to ask you to be mine, forever and always," Finally he looks up, nervously meeting your eyes. He pulls something out of his back pocket. He opens the case revealing a ring. "Will you marry me?"

You feel like time freezes. Tears well in your eyes and your head feels fuzzy. You're feeling every emotion in the world right now, but the biggest thing you feel is your heart screaming about how much you love this man.

"How long are you going to keep me kneeling here like an idiot?" Levi asks after probably too much time has passed.

You tackle Levi to the ground and kiss him hard on the lips. This time he kisses you back. You grab his face and he wraps his strong arms around you and squeezes you in.
