Sans Starting Life In Another World From Zero

Chapter 3: Visitors

Ram's face became red with anger.

Ram: "I mean, move it to your drawer"

Sans: "Ok"

Sans picked up the sock, brought it to the drawer, then brought it back to the spot it once was.

Ram's eye gave a twitch

Ram: "Don't bring it back"

Sans: "Ok"

Sans didn't touch the sock, Ram was at her wits end at this point.

Sans: "What? Didn't you say to not bring it back?"

Flashback end

Sans only barely remembered that, but he forgot just as quickly as he remembered it.

Sans: "How are you doing, kiddo?"

Emilia: "I'd say i'm doing fine, all the studying is a headache but it's not all to bad"

Sans: "Good to hear!"

Sans turned his gaze to the front, looking at the grass field that was the frontyard of the mansion, he noticed a carriage arriving at the front entrance to the mansion, after all his time there he never once saw another visitor.

Sans: "Seems you have a visitor."

Emilia: "Huh?"

The half elf turned her head, she then saw the carriage, as two figures stepped out of the carriage, one being an old man with a butler suit on, he had blue eyes. The other being a demi-human cat wearing a dress, with brown eyes. Emilia upon seeing them quickly got up.

Emilia: "Excuse me for a minute"

Sans: "Something important?"

Emilia nodded and walked towards the carriage.

Emilia: "Yeah, you can wait here"

Sans watched as she walked to the visitors, he questioned why they were there, but soon thought.

He watched as they talked for a bit until the cat and Emilia went inside the mansion, leaving the butler outside. Sans looked at the old butler from a distance and immediately took an interest in him. His old eyes had a look of pure unshaken will. Sans just shrugged his shoulders and teleported across from the carriage.

Sans: "Sup"

Sans greeted the butler, who when noticing Sans gave a "Hm?" completely unknowing that Sans was in front of him.

How long has he been there? I didn't even notice him. The butler thought

Old butler: "Ah, what can I do for you young sir?"

As typical of a butler, he gave a respectful and kind question to Sans.

Sans: "well, I was just kinda curious about what this visit was all about"

The old butler, gaze Sans a questioning gaze until answering.

Old butler: "As I'm unsure as to what your standing or status is in this mansion, it's in my best interest not to say anything careless about our dealings here. Please understand."

Sans sighed.

Sans: "well guess there's no helping that, not that It mattered that much anyway, what I really came here to ask is about you"

The butler then raised an eyebrow

Old butler: "Oh? About me? What does this old man have that interests a random stranger such as yourself?"

Sans scratched his cheek with his finger, the butler's gaze becoming more intense.

Sans: "Well, it was more or so your eyes, they're filled with determination, people with those kind of eyes have always been 50/50 when it comes to what drives them"

Old butler: "Heheh, I assure you, this old man has only two tasks in mind, none of which are a need for you to concern yourself with."

The butler gave a reassured response to cool down the tension between the two. Sans kept his glowing eyes on him until giving a shrug.

Sans: "If you say so, then whatever"

Sans decided to stop prying, from looking at the butler it looked like he was telling the truth, besides, Sans was too lazy to question any further.

???: "I'm back, Old Man Wil! Sorry to make you wait outside. I bet you were bored, huh?"

A new voice entered the conversation, it was the cat demi-human from before, greeted who Sans assumed was wil.

Wil: "Not at all. In fact, I've been passing the time having a rather

interesting discussion with this young man here."

The the cat boy's ears perked up

Cat boy: "Hm-mew?"

He looked at Sans and began walking around him checking out every part of him.

Cat boy: "Hm-mew mew... huh? Hm-mew."

Sans was a little weird out by this, but soon gained his composure when he remembered he's dealt with much worse situations than this. The boy soon stopped and went back to wil.

Cat boy: "Ah, nyow I see.Of course, of course! You must be the personal guard that Miss Emilia was talking about earlier."

Sans nodded

Sans: "That would be me."

The old butler upon hearing the news, raised his brow in interest.

Cat boy: "Well, enough chit-chat, let's go, old man Wil!"

The cat boy began walking towards their carriage, Wil followed, the cat boy then waved goodbye.

Cat boy: "See you in the capital!"

At those words, Sans then understood what their visit was about.

Sans: "So they had a meeting concerning the royal selection, huh?"

So Sans then realized that things were only getting started, it seems our bony friend was only beginning his life in another world.
