[Seeing as this is blowing up, I've decided to take this a little more seriously, so I went ahead and grinded out this 2,000+ word chapter in two days for ya'll, ENJOY!!!]

It's a beautiful day outside, birds are singing, flowers are blooming, perfect day for a game of catch. The clear blue sky seemingly having few clouds makes the day all the more beautiful. Like another world fantasy.

On this beautiful day, Sans would rather spend the day taking a nap in the green grass of the front lawn of Roswaal's mansion, but here he was on a carriage being pulled by two lizards, along with a half-elf, and a blue haired demon. Going on a business trip that he would rather not be on, Sans always hated politics, sure he was a judge of the underground, but rarely would he do his job, and even rarer take part in discussions with the king. So of course most of the time he would just laze around the exit to the ruins on watch for humans, but of course that all changed when THEY entered the underground, and subsequently changed the fate of the monsters.

???: "Hey, Sans?"

A voice broke Sans's thoughts, bringing him back down into reality, he looked at the owner of the voice and was greeted by Emilia the half-elf, she's the reason for this trip in the first place more or less, being a candidate for the royal selection, they are going to the capital of Lugunica for the ceremony beginning the royal selection.

Sans: "What is it kiddo?"

Emilia: "Well, I was just wondering if you're nervous, this is both of our debuts, me as a candidate for the throne, and you my personal guard."

The half- elf had a unsure expression on her face, she had every right to be nervous given her background, but as for Sans.

Sans: "Nah, not really."

Emilia: "Really? Wow, your always so calm, even in the most dangerous situations, that's something I can't do"

Sans shrugged off her comment, he couldn't keep a level head all the time, like any other living being with a brain, he can get irritated sometimes, though those instances were rare. He only reserved his inner hatred for one person.

Sans:"Put your chin up kiddo, while others may see you as a witch or whatever, it doesn't change who you are on the inside, sorry if that sounds cliche, but it's true"

The half-elf looked at Sans with surprise at his words, she then gave a smile.

Emilia:"Thank you, Sans"

Sans:"No problemo"

Emilia looked back to the outside of the carriage, the large expanse of grass that seemed to go on forever, and in the middle a huge tree that was taller than many buildings on the surface that he'd seen.

Sans:"That's one big tree"

Emilia:"Breathtaking isn't it? It's Flugel's tree"

Sans looked at the big tree with interest than soon lost interest and relaxed back down in his seat,

Sans:"Feelin' a little tired, wake me up once we get there, alright?"

Emilia:"Oh, okay."

Sans closed his eyes, and in an instant fell fast asleep.

It's quiet

The silence is notable...nothing but the sound of the hollowing cave that once was...like a passing winter storm with no visuals.

Oddly enough, I begin to notice the snow under my feet...and the faint cold breeze slowly dragging my hoodie to the side. The cold air flowing through. The snow is pretty pale. Unmoving and still. There's not a lot to go off of.
