Chapter 22: Bound

"Yes!" You say to him between another kiss. "I'm yours, forever and always," You kiss him again and feel his smile cause his lips to spread. He holds you even tighter and chuckles when you finally pull away. He pulls himself out from your grasp, moving to a sitting position, but you keep showering him with kisses. He clearly doesn't mind, but gently grabs your wrist with one hand and reaches into the box with his free hand. Then he slips the ring on your ring finger. It's beautiful. It's simple. It fits you perfectly.

You catch him off guard and tackle him to the ground again. Planting more kisses all over his face.

"Jesus Christ, you two. Get a room!" You hear Hange calling from inside the ship. They are staring down at the two of you wrapped in each other's arms on the ground at the entrance of the ship.

Levi helps you up, his cheeks are a bright shade of pink, but you feel like you could do anything. Fuck it, you'll go take down the beast titan yourself. You're fucking engaged to Levi Ackerman.

Hange shakes their head and laughs turning around into the ship. "Levi get out of here, your squad needs you,"

You engulf Levi in a hug again that you wish would never end. His arms firmly holding you in place. "Stay safe," you whisper to him. "Now that you're my fiancé and all, I have a personal interest in keeping you alive," he says whispering in your ear.

Fiancé.

After parting ways,, you board the ship and find your way to the cockpit. You take a seat behind Onyankopon and Hange. Armin sits next to you, his face screwed up in thought. You bet yours is too. Your ring feels heavy on your finger. You twist it and remind yourself to tell Levi as soon as you see him again. This can't wait.

The plan works, for the most part. Levi propels up first with Zeke and your heart finally settles in your chest. He's okay. He's okay. You repeat to yourself. He looks like a hair hasn't moved out of place. Everything must have worked out well then.

He makes sure Zeke is secure first before getting distracted. He ties him up and you watch the glint in Levi's eye when he slices off Zeke's arms and legs. He tosses the body parts out the window. Titan blood steaming off of his face, you try to think of a time he's looked hotter than this.

You follow Levi to the cockpit and he kicks Zeke in the chest for good measure. Then his eyes lock on you and he smiles. You feel weary being near Zeke. After Sheganshina. After Erwin. You want to cut his face off and wear it like a mask while you mock him, but you need him alive unfortunately for some grand plan to save the Eldians.

Armin pears from around the corner and flees to the open door, where he greets Mikasa and Eren.

Mikasa helps lead Eren to the cockpit and he slumps on the floor across from Zeke.

"Disgusting. How did you get so filthy?" Levi says walking over to Eren. "You look like you fell in a vat full of shit."

Levi shoots his leg out and kicks Eren hard across the face with his boot. Armin has to hold Mikasa back from dodging for Levi. Good thing Armin held her back, because there was no one there to hold you back from her. Others rush in and point guns on Eren. "I see you still make a great punching bag," Levi spits at Eren through gritted teeth. "We'll be restraining you, but after this we need to talk."

"That's fine. It's all as I said in the letters.. I disobeyed orders, but I think you'd know a thing or two about that," Eren says glaring up at Levi from the floor.

"That ugly mug. I never thought I'd see it on you. I hope you're happy. Everything went exactly as you planned it." Levi says as the other two scouts move in to secure Eren.
