Suabru's POV...

A cliche game name and your typical out-of-the-ordinary animal faces as far as the eye can see. Mixed in the crowds of people doing their business on daily mornings, bargaining on the market stands and buying from food stalls accompanied by encrypting words with unique heliographic letters.

It was like waking up from a sudden start of some game.

I feel like I was in a tourist trip.

And somehow or another, Kaneki and I entered some kind of marketplace.

"Of all places.." I heard Kaneki mutter beside me.

"Hmm? Did you say something Kaneki?" I turned to look back at him.

"...."

He was silent as always and stubbornly refused to even repeat his muttered words. His complexion was very pale

Well, it didn't take long for me to deduce what's making him uncomfortable. Poor guy, the smell of fruits and animal meat must've got to him..

I can't tell the guy that this is the place I want. I followed a girl with an empty basket which as I suspect it'll lead us to the market place.
But I just wanna check and see something so hang in there Kaneki!

Kaneki looked at me. Numerous thoughts are probably going through his head. 'I can't let this guy know that I'm a Ghoul..' His thoughts is plainly written on his face. Or blank faced? Anyways, I can tell what he is trying to avoid.

I can't read this. It's written strangely in scribbles and yet, I'm able to talk to this vendor as if their common language is Japanese. This confirms it..

I've seen that look of dejection, like his about to put up a wall between us.

Im honestly still not so sure what to feel about this..

Cant you blame him though? He is watching an anime, made up of fiction and 2D drawing. What else should he feel about the protagonist who went down a tragic start on the first episode?

It would be a miracle if kaneki casually agreed that the life his been through was made to entertain the viewers. And Subaru, was one of those people, who watched Kaneki in pain within the series.

At this moment, Subaru felt guilty. He decided to keep that secret with him for as long as he lives. It was selfish wish. Something that should never been mentioned to Kaneki.

Because, who knows what will Kaneki do if he knew the 'truth'

"So Subaru, what do you think?"

Subaru was already content with this. Never matter how long his trust would last him. He isn't afraid to make that risk prolong him longer. (Change all that to Subaru's pov not in 3rd pov turtle..)

"Hey, now that I mention it, what age are you now?"

'The anime itself didn't quite specify how old you were' Is what I wanted to add but held against it. I continued as Kaneki turned to look back at me, "You look like you're in your seventeen's to me.." I'm pretty sure the anime did mention his age but I can't seem to remember what episode was it mentioned. Probably in Episode 1, however, I'm already in the second season so that explains why I couldn't remember it...
