1. The start goes by 12 people on a tour to the hunted. Three protagonist, three well known friends. Bayley(the kind), Matt(the smart and rational), and Callie(the tomboyish girl)
2. The twist: the most friendly and kind boy (protagonist) was actually a ghost. A forgotten one at that. He prattled on a good excuse and a most believable story for his background. Hence, he manipulated everyone's memories for the (ghost) reverse (the actual protagonist) but he had a reason. In order to released the other poor ghost from the puppet master, he needs a body. His a unique kind so he was able to and warned hints after hints for less bloodshed from the puppet masters schemes.
3. The (ghost) was they're (real friend) who forgets what he really is and at some end, ended up helping the group.
