The noise was getting rather annoying as I began to search the room, looking under my bed and even in my closet. After a brief moment, I concluded that the sound came from some glass? Turning towards my window, I walked over and pull the curtain aside.

Standing there, his one hand pressed to the window while his other hand lightly tapped the glass with his knuckle, Marcus smiled at me.

"Marcus!?!" I exclaimed, my eyes going wide.

I hadn't even seen him since everything happened! Wasting no time, I quickly unlocked the window and slid it upward, allowing me to actually talk to him.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked. "I'm not mad, honest, farthest from it, but WHY?! And how the heck did you find out where I live!?!"

"I just wanted to see you! We haven't had a chance to talk or anything!" Marcus replied, smiling wider as he placed his hands on the windowsill. "Also, I'm going to be completely honest when I say that I'm pretty sure that Maastor stalked someone to find out where you live..."

He gave me a sheepish apologetic grin and I couldn't help but chuckle with a smile. I missed seeing and talking to him so much.

"DJ, who are you talking to in there!?!" I heard my dad yell from down the hall.

I paused, looking between Marcus and the door, quickly trying to think up an excuse.

"Uhhhhhh- I'm talking with Toady?!" I replied, although I sounded fairly uncertain.

Wincing at the silence, I crossed my fingers hoping that he'd buy it, or at least not push questions.

"Alright, just don't blow its processing chip with too many questions," my dad called back.

I was perplexed as I looked at Toady, realizing that it could potentially be used as a literal bomb.

"That's a thing?!" I yelled.

My dad didn't elaborate further, all I could hear now was him chuckling down the hall. Marcus tapped me on the shoulder, bringing my attention back to the present as I looked his way.

"Uh, c-can I come in for a bit?" He asked. "I-I'm not planning on staying long, h-honest! I-I just don't w-want to leave the window open w-while we talk, a-assuming you want to talk!"

I chuckled at his stammering and stuttering, holding my hand to cover my mouth as I did. Marcus stopped rambling and blushed a light black color in embarrassment, looking almost apologetic.

"You can come inside, don't worry about it. Besides, I can show you my awesome new room!" I exclaimed.

Smiling, I held out my hand to him. He carefully took it and I helped him climb inside. Thankfully, he's rather slim so it was quite easy to get him in the room.

"Tada! Welcome to my official bedroom!" I said, holding out my arm. "It's about five times bigger than my old room AND I get to decorate it however I want!"

Marcus nodded with a smile as he glanced around the interior. Although it wasn't 100% finished yet, I still don't have much to even put in my room, so he probably noticed that. I have my large bed with a galaxy-patterned bedsheet, a standard white desk where I kept some journals and stuff, my closet, and the walls were colored in swirls of green, black, white, and purple. It was all amazing to me, but I don't know what Marcus would think.

"Wow... How did you get the colors to look like that?" Marcus asked in awe, pointing to some swirls of color on the wall.

I smiled as he looked at me for an answer, seeming genuinely curious.

"Well, I couldn't decide on what colors I'd want for my room, sooo... I just started using all of them. When I met the two colors together on the wall, I kinda mixed them a bit!" I explained. "I thought it turned out pretty neat."
