Chapter 08

Today is my last day staying at boracay and my last shooting for the movie red roses. Napabuntong hininga ako at napayuko.

"Hello," she waves her hand in front of me. "Earth to xochi."

I blink twice and look at the person who was seated right in front of me. Hawak-hawak niya sa magkabilang kamay ang kutsara't tinidor. We're at the restaurant, part of blue lagoon. They served breakfast for free and you can choose anything in the menu.

"Y-Yes?" Tanong ko at ibinaling ang atensyon sa pagkaing nasa harap. A type of seafood, I don't know the name but it's tasty.

"Kanina pa ako salita ng salita dito tapos hindi ka naman pala nakikinig." Reklamo niya at sumubo ng pagkain.

I sighed. "I'm sorry ate kisha, what were you saying?"

"About yesterday..." she trailed off. I look at her as if signaling her to continue, "Kahapon kasi... I met with your sister, Scarlett." She confessed that made me stop from what I'm doing.

"P-Pardon?"

"She told me that you'll have a family dinner after the shooting." Saad nito na kinayuko ko.

I looked down. "We should talk about that after eating."

Sumang-ayon naman si ate kisha. Scarlett is really determined na pati manager ko kinausap na niya. Matapos kumain ay nagpahinga kami ng madalian bago tumayo at bumalik ng kwarto namin, mas nauna akong matapos kaya nauna na rin akong bumalik ng kwarto.

Napaupo ako sa couch ng makapasok at minasahe ang noo ko, I rested both of my feet on the couch. Sumasakit ulo ko dahil sa letchugas na family dinner na 'yan. However, a knock on the door made me sit properly, bumukas ito at bumungad si ate kisha at si Scarlett.

Emotions vanishes on my face as I saw her, I stood up and was about to enter my room when I heard ate kisha called me. Tumigil ako sa paglalakad pero hindi ako lumingon.

"Xochi, hindi sa nanghihimasok ako pero you should talk to your sister. Iiwan ko muna kayo dito, nasa labas lang ako." She said and I heard the door closed after that.

Tutuloy sana ako sa paglakad patungo sa kwarto ko ng bumukas muli ang pinto kaya agad akong humarap at nagkunyaring naglalakad pabalik sa upuan.

Her face says it all, ate kisha raised her right eyebrow at me and darted me with her fierce eyes. Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit ko ba sinusunod ang sinabi ni ate kisha.

Nang makaupo ako sa upuan ay naglakad palapit sa akin si Scarlett. She shooved her hands inside her blue denim jacket and walked towards the couch.
