Would you call it a freeze response? I wish I knew... I just stood away from Frieza's and Vegeta's bickering. This was actually happening. Frieza was hysterically laughing while powering himself up, causing nearby terrain to crumble and the ground to crack. I lifted a leg to avoid tripping in the crack beneath my left foot.

"What are we going to do?!" I shouted over to Vegeta.

"You stay put. I know what I'm doing." He sounded so sure but I knew him enough to know he was really put on the spot this time. He knew the time was to come, but right now? Even he is a bit shaken up, and that is rare for him.

"Now! Look at me Vegeta! You fool! How dare you challenge me. Have you forgotten what I really am?" I sure hadn't forgotten. I looked over to Krillin and I've never seen him so worried. "Better wipe that smirk off your face Vegeta!" Frieza continued.

Frieza sent a blast at Vegeta within a matter of seconds, quick enough to miss by a blink.

"Come on!" Krillin grabbed my arm from his short height and dragged Gohan along too around the corner of a tall section of terrain. I felt guilty from hiding but It's the best I can do to not drag attention to my friends, I don't want them targeted because of my out bursts. As we ran I could here blasts and all sorts from behind me, I didn't want to look back. I held Dende as he covered his face to keep composure. Rocks and dirt flew around the cliff like wall we were behind as it shielded us. One blast our way and we'd be done for.

Gohan began to cough with the wave of dust from the aftermath of the blasts. "Gohan, look. We've got to attack him while he's still distracted okay? It might be the only chance we get." Krillin looked to him.

"Right!" He replied.

"Stop! Are you both insane?!" I grabbed Krillin's shoulder before he could move. "He's not to be played around with. Not only is he too strong, his death being tied to your name in any way could be doing more harm than good. You could seriously endanger the planet. He has a following, they'll come after you! Everyone!" I put my other hand on his other shoulder and slightly bent my back so we were on the same face level. He just brought on a deeper frown.

"Whatever it takes, if they come, they know what's coming to them." He closed his eyes for a moment and created a deeper eye contact. "I'm sorry Y/N, but it's now or never. I'm taking my shot. Let's go!" He shouted for Gohan and the snuck out swiftly.

Before I could stop them I saw Dende shaking in the corner. Poor guy. I know the feeling of being a child and losing your home and entire family in the massacre of the planet. The thought of the truth burnt my heart. The promised peace was all a lie, it was a set up. There is no fairness under the rule of Frieza, Vegeta stated I was a free woman but Frieza's eyes on my back no matter where I go or what I do felt more depressing than when I was with his military. This is a Tyrant that wants nothing more than to gain as much as he can for not only his status, but also amusement. He wasn't just a extremist leader, he was a monster, not a redeemable one. The families, children, men, women, selfless beings of my home being slaughtered caused me to fall to my knees. It's all just hitting now. Vegeta's own words. If he could do this so easily to my planet, one which he would have valued if we weren't so intimidating... How easy was it for him to do it to other planets, the families that thrived on them...

I then frowned and remembered the days of when me, Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz were sent on missions. We were sent to do this too. I stared at my hands and realised so do I, I also have the blood of the innocent bleached onto my skin, the remnants of my crimes, war crimes. Frieza spun us and normalised the concept to us, Nappa had no choice and the three of us were only children. My childhood was stripped from me. A history of murder from just being a child alone. This was a thought and memory I liked to block out my mind and it took a while for me to do it anyways. It worked, till now. I lost everything. I look towards Dende with a wide eyed traumatising look, he looked more concerned for me than himself.

"Y/N..? What's wrong?" He shuffled to my direction, my body was stiff, as was my eyes and face, I looked like a wax sculpture. Even as he moved my eyes stayed in place and didn't follow his movements. I looked frozen in place. "She's having some sort of body reaction..." He whispered to himself as he analysed my face but slowly and not to startle me if I'd snap out of my paused state. His eyes softened almost like he knew something, if he'd just read my eyes, my mind.

"It's not your fault." He quickly hugged my torso tight, causing my eyes to react with tears. It's something I've never heard before. "What they did to you wasn't your fault." My eyes began to twitch and squint as I tried my best to hold in my breakdown.

"We are going to be okay."

Time went by. Dende was the small angel to retrieve me from my nightmare state at the fight between the lot continued. I just wanted it to end but the fact that it's still going allowed me to have the closure that the chance of my friends being dead are none existent as long as the crashing and ear breaking sounds continued. Frieza had yet to really transform, he was really just giving himself a small boost. Things are just going to get harder and worse.
