Samantha lay in bed, her thoughts consumed by the way Augustus had treated her.
She had always been the kindest, most understanding, and caring wife she could be, yet he continued to hurt her. She couldn't understand why he was so cruel to her.
As she held her growing belly, Samantha realized that this was no longer just about her. She had a responsibility to take care of the life growing inside her, and that meant protecting herself from Augustus's vicious outbursts.
She had always tried to make excuses for him, telling herself that he was under a lot of pressure at work or that he was just having a bad day. But now, as she felt the kicks of the tiny life inside her, she knew that she couldn't put her baby at risk.
Samantha knew that being near Augustus meant danger and pain. She couldn't continue to subject herself and her unborn child to his abuse. She needed to leave him, but the thought of starting a new life on her own terrified her.
Still, Samantha knew that she had to be strong. She couldn't let Augustus continue to hurt her and their baby. She had to find the courage to leave and start a new life for herself and her child.
The thought of leaving Augustus filled Samantha with both fear and hope. Fear of the unknown, but hope for a better life for her and her child. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew that she couldn't stay with Augustus any longer.
As she drifted off to sleep, Samantha felt a sense of peace wash over her. For the first time in a long time, she felt in control of her life. She was taking charge, and she knew that everything would be okay.
Samantha took a deep breath and tried to steady herself. She had to leave, for the sake of her baby. She had to protect the life growing inside of her, even if it meant leaving the man she loved.
With a determined look on her face, Samantha started packing her bags. She gathered her clothes, her toiletries, and all the essentials she would need.
As she packed, she thought about how much her life was going to change. She didn't know where she was going or what she was going to do, but she knew she had to leave.
As she zipped up her last bag, Samantha took one last look around the room she had shared with Augustus. It was the place where they had made love, fought, and where she had discovered she was pregnant. It held so many memories, both good and bad. But now it was time to say goodbye.
Samantha took a deep breath and headed out the door. As she walked down the stairs, she felt a sense of freedom wash over her. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she had control over her life.
As she stepped outside, Samantha looked around at the familiar neighborhood. But now it felt different. It was like she was seeing everything with fresh eyes, and she knew that she couldn't stay here any longer.
