It was already 1pm, Augustus stumbled out of his bedroom, rubbing his bleary eyes as he surveyed the wreckage that was once his mansion.

He felt a pang of regret as he remembered how proud he used to be of this place, how it symbolized his success and power. But now it was just a shell of what it used to be.

He shuffled through the living room, knocking over a pile of empty bottles and sending them clattering to the floor. As he made his way to the kitchen, the smell of stale food and cigarette smoke assaulted his nostrils.

With a heavy sigh, Augustus collapsed into a chair at the dining table, which was covered in unwashed plates and food scraps. He ran his fingers through his unkempt hair and let out a bitter laugh. How had he let things get this bad?

He had been so blinded by his own arrogance and desire for control that he had lost sight of what was truly important. Now, he was left with nothing but a ruined reputation and a crumbling mansion.

He stood up and made his way to the kitchen, opening the fridge to look for something to eat. But instead of food, he grabbed a bottle of beer and a pack of cigarettes from the counter.

He sat down on the couch, taking a long drag from his cigarette and gulping down a swig of beer. The alcohol burned his throat and he let out a deep sigh. He knew he had to face the reality of his situation but he couldn't find the strength to do it.

As he sat there, lost in his thoughts, he couldn't help but think of all the things he had lost. His company, his wealth, his power. And worst of all, he had lost his wife. He had pushed Samantha away with his cruel ways, and now he was all alone.

He had lost everything. His reputation, his pride, and his company. He couldn't bear to look at himself in the mirror anymore. The once successful businessman was now a failure, a laughingstock of the business world.

But it was too late now. The damage had been done. All he could do was pick up the pieces of his life and try to move forward. But how could he do that when all he could see was his own failure staring back at him?

He had hit rock bottom, and there seemed to be no way out of his misery. His financial situation was in shambles, and he couldn't seem to land a decent job.

Augustus sat on his couch, feeling frustrated and hopeless. His financial situation was getting worse by the day. He opened his phone, hoping to find some job openings that he could apply for. As he scrolled through the news feed, an article caught his attention.

It was about Samantha's clothing line, Samm.

The article praised her hard work and dedication, and Augustus couldn't help but feel a sense of regret wash over him. He knew that he had mistreated her, but seeing her success firsthand made him realize just how much he had lost.

As the weight of his regret settled in, Augustus felt a strange emotion bubbling up within him: love. He had spent so long pushing Samantha away and trying to control her, but now he couldn't deny the feelings he had buried deep within his heart.

"All these years," he muttered to himself, "I can't believe that I actually love you." The words felt foreign on his tongue, but he knew they were true. He had always felt something for Samantha, but it took her success to make him see it clearly.

Augustus sat in silence, lost in thought as he pondered what to do next.
