"No attachments,"
"No love,"
"And no questions about the past."
Those were the three main requirements the contract asked of us. The rules that would prevent any trouble from entering our lives. If only we had followed them.
Jane Hamilton is an...
I do not know why, but I had the urge to clarify my relationship with Sebastian.
"Yes, we do. He's like a brother to me," I added, hoping this would ease whatever thoughts were running through his mind.
Adrian finally looked up and was surprised when he found me looking at him.
"W-We should look for the present before they close." He glance away nervously and began walking ahead.
I puckered my lips into an amused smile.
Seeing Adrian in a shy, nervous state was cute. It was also nice to see he did have emotions and wasn't just a cold robot.
"Hey! Wait up!" I called out as I ran to catch up with him.

"What about this one?" I asked as I sprayed the blue liquid unto the test stick.
"How many more of these perfumes are you going to try?" Adrian huffed, but still sniffed the stick upon my request. "They all smell the same to me."
"How can they smell the same? They have different ingredients," I argued.
"How about you get him a watch?" Adrian suggested. "I saw a nice jewelry store just down the hall."
"Hmmm... alright." I placed the perfume bottles back on the shelve and followed Adrian toward the jewelry store.
The store was bigger than all the other ones. It had rows and rows of jewelry; from earrings, to bracelets and watches. It was like entering a glimmer paradise.
I was hopeful that I would find something here for Sebastian until...
"Four-thousand dollars!" I whisper-shouted. I could not believe my eyes. "You know what, I think I'll stick with my Bath and Body Works colognes."
Adrian grabbed onto my wrist before I could walk out and pulled me back into the store.
"Just pay with this," he said nonchalantly as he handed me his American Express Black Card.
I quickly shook my head and pushed the card back toward him.
"You really do not have to do that," I replied.
"Come on, we are friends are we not?" Adrian lifted his brow.
"Yeah."
"Friends help friends out. Now take it." Adrian pushed the card back into my hands.
"Fine." I rolled my eyes and heaved a sigh.
If I denied his offer, I would be a hypocrite. Especially after my speech about the power of friendship a few weeks ago.
"Welcome to Helena's Jewelry. How may I be of your assistance today?" The shop assistant in the watch section asked as we approached him.
"Can I see your collection of men's watches?" I asked and the man nodded.
"I am assuming you are buying this for a special someone?" The man glanced over at Adrian as he wiggled his eyebrows.
"Sorta," I replied with a grin.
"You, my friend, are a lucky man," the shopping assistant told Adrian.
The latter looked at me and smiled.
"Yes, I am."
Oh, God. What are you doing to me Adrian McKeller?

However, on a more brighter note, Adrian is finally showing some emotions to Jane!!! 🥳🥳🥳 Plus he is also showing his jealous side. What do you guys think will happen next?
