Holding Back

Tris POV

"I can't do this. I'm not ready." I say, leaning against the wall.

"Don't be ridiculous." Uriah says.

I fan my face with my hand.

"Stop it. Your face is turning red." Chris says.

"I can't do it." I say.

"Tris, what are you talking about? You're about to get married to Tobias." Zeke says.

"Zeke and I are going to be with you the whole time." Uriah says.

I shake my head. "I don't feel well."

"Because you're psyching yourself out." Mar says. "Take deep breaths. You have nothing to worry about."

I sit against the wall and close my eyes.

"Guys, give her some space." Will says.

"Tris?" I hear.

Ella walks over to me and sits in my lap.

"Not the dress!" Chris says.

Everyone shushes her and walks away.

"You're getting a little big to sit in my lap." I say. "You look so beautiful."

"You look more beautiful." She says. "I was just talking to Tobias."

"Really?" I ask.

She smiles and nods.

"He's really excited to see you. I told him how beautiful you look." She says.

I smile. "Do you remember the time you asked Tobias and I if we were dating?"

She shakes her head.

"It was before we started dating. When we hated each other. You and your parents came into town and Tobias had to watch you. He got so mad at me because I always made you stop crying. He was so jealous." I say. 

"Really?" She asks.

I nod. "You were so cute. You still are adorable but I had never met you."

"I can't wait for you and Tobias to be parents." She says. "Auntie Evelyn says you two are going to be amazing parents."

I blush. "I guess we should hurry up and get out there then."

She nods and climbs off my lap. I take her hand and lead her to everyone else.

"I'm ready." I say.

"Perfect. Everyone get ready." Chris says.

Ella picks up Elizabeth and grabs the basket of flower petals.

"Are you sure you've got her?" I ask.

Ella nods proudly. I kiss her head and stand behind her.

Uriah and Zeke link arms with me and smile.

"Thank you guys for doing this." I say.

"Of course." Zeke says.

Once it's our turn to go out, we walk slowly.

"Please make sure I don't trip." I whisper.

"No promises." Uriah says.

I elbow him and Zeke laughs.

"You made me fall at my wedding." He says.

"Don't worry, Tris." Zeke says.

I lock eyes with Tobias and smile. He is so handsome. Uriah and Zeke kiss my cheek and hand me to Tobias.
